About me

Hello, I’m Chris O’Connor, proud owner of the award-winning Eccleston Park Hypnotherapy.

I’m a highly experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist specialising in anxiety reduction and mental wellbeing. Over the past few years, I’ve been recognised with multiple awards and acknowledged by independent bodies as one of the leading hypnotherapists in the region.

My work has been featured on Sky Sports, BBC TV, TalkSport, and in several national newspapers. I’m deeply passionate about supporting individuals who struggle with mental health challenges—something I understand personally, having overcome my own battle with depression. That experience led me to discover the incredible benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in helping people move past brain-based limitations and achieve real, lasting change.

I work with clients across a wide range of issues, including:

Anxiety & Depression
Sleep Issues & Insomnia
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Grief
Fears & Phobias
Weight Management
Addictions
Elite Sports Performance
Athletic Recovery
Dartitis & Mental Blocks

These challenges can significantly affect your day-to-day life—impacting your relationships, career, studies, or even your basic ability to function. Whether the symptoms are physical (such as pain or tension), emotional (like low mood, sadness, or anger), or practical (difficulty concentrating or lack of motivation), hypnotherapy can offer powerful and lasting relief.

Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, you’ll leave each session feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to face the world.

As one former client perfectly put it:

“Chris changes chaos into calm.”

Specialist in Sports Performance & Dartitis

I’m currently an official partner of the Professional Darts Players Association (PDPA) and work with clients to improve sleep, reduce anxiety, boost wellbeing, and elevate performance under pressure. I also specialise in eliminating dartitis, and currently work with top-level darts players, including Nathan Aspinall, who I helped overcome the condition completely.

My client list includes elite athletes such as:

Nathan Aspinall (PDC World Matchplay Champion)
Tom Aspinall (UFC World Champion)
Kyren Wilson (Snooker World Champion)
Stuart Bingham (World Snooker Champion)
Stephen Bunting (PDC Masters Champion)
Laura Coombs (Lioness & Manchester City, recent World Cup call-up)

I also continue to support a number of other world champions across various sports, though some remain confidential.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward real change, I’m here to help.

Contact me today to find out more about how hypnotherapy can support your goals—whether personal, professional, or athletic.
