Cheryl Lamaris GQHP MBACP Dip Counselling, Dip Hyp, Lamaris Therapies
Do you want to turn over a new leaf and make positive changes in your life? Hello my name is Cheryl and I am a qualified Hypnotherapist (GQHP) and Person Centred Counsellor (MBACP). I am based at Lamaris Therapies in Worsley, Manchester.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful yet gentle way to bring about the positive changes you want to enable you to live your life in a more meaningful way.
Initial consultation session - During this session, I will ask you questions and take a brief history from you to gain a full understanding of what you require from hypnotherapy and I will explain the hypnotherapy process and answer any questions you may have. I will also do some general relaxation within this session so you can experience hypnotherapy and make an informed choice if this is the right therapy for you.
Hypnotherapy is a state of deep relaxation, it is moving into an altered state of awareness which enables our subconscious mind to communicate with our conscious mind, giving us an insight into unlocking our inner potential. While the body remains relaxed the mind will become extremely focused.
Hypnotherapy can be extremely beneficial in a number of ways. It can help with weight loss, fears & phobias, stress, anxiety, confidence, public speaking, self esteem, IBS, nail biting, addiction, smoking, sleeping problems, general relaxation and much more
Our mission is to provide an ethical, professional and confidential therapeutic service, in our tranquil and relaxing therapy room, giving you the up-most comfort and privacy.

Fears I went to Cheryl with my fear of airports, weird I know not flying but airports, and I ended up booking a holiday and having a great time. Having hypnotherapy has really changed my life and I can’t wait to book my next adventure, thanks Cheryl from Chelsea
Anxiety I went for therapy with Cheryl and she really helped me and my anxiety problems. I couldn't travel in cars but now I can. My anxiety levels are controllable now thanks to Cheryl Elizabeth from Worsley
Hypnoband program to assist client with losing weight - Very welcoming environment and very warm caring person so trust was built up very quickly. Felt that the therapist was empathetic and always happy to listen and be encouraging when needed. Janice from Bury
Hypnoband program to assist client with losing weight- I was always made to feel comfortable and nothing was to much trouble, my appointment sessions were worked around my working hours. All my sessions were explained at a step by step pace that suited me. I always felt relaxed and in control with professional support. Sessions were always followed up with a reassuring e-mail or text message making sure I was comfortable and understood my therapy. Even when I ran into a small blip, I was completely supported and was helped to work through it. My life is much more positive now and on the up thanks to Cheryl at Lamaris Therapies I can not thank her enough. Ann from Leigh
Confidence and Self-esteem - Since attending therapy I have felt a lot more positve and Happy, thank you from Gemma in Walkden
Hypnoband program to assist client with losing weight - I enjoyed the experience and found it useful – I feel it has changed my thought processes and that it will stay with me for a long time to come. Definitely would recommend to others. Thank you from Pam, Bolton
Breaking habits - I went to see Cheryl about my habit which I have not been able to break for as long as I can remember- biting my nails and skin around my fingers. It's a habit that makes me so self conscious and absolutely hate my hands on show. I had one hypnotherapy session with Cheryl & I am so amazed by the results already. Cheryl is very understanding, non-judgmental and has a very calm manner (which put me at ease straight away!) I cannot wait to have another session & in the mean time, put my techniques that she has taught me into practise. This is coming from someone who was very cynical and didn't totally believe this would be the right method to break my long-lived habit, but it has!! Very highly recommended. Great service, great hypnotherapy! Thank you Cheryl from Rachel, Worsley
Fear of flying - Before I started the Hypnotherapy sessions with Cheryl I was really apprehensive. I didn't really know that much about Hypnotherapy - what it entailed, if I'd feel comfortable or if it would work for me..............but going off my experience so far all I can say is give it a go!
I felt relaxed as soon as I met Cheryl. She took things at a pace I felt comfortable with and the sessions really worked for me. I recommend Hypnotherapy to all my friends now and I'll keep going back to Cheryl when I feel I need a top up!
I can now fly without having a panic attack - Thanks so much Cheryl from Dawn, Astley
Fear of flying - I came to Cheryl for help with my fear of flying last year. I'd avoided flying for three years because I really got myself into an awful state on a plane. I'd cry, scream and have panic attacks. I needed to sort it out for my own sake as well as my family and the other passengers!!
Cheryl couldn't have been anymore understanding and sympathetic to my plight. She made me feel at ease from the minute I walked into her therapy room. I had a total of two sessions with an option of a third if I felt I needed it.
A few days later I flew to Spain for a family holiday and for the first time in fifteen years I didn't cry or scream on the flight. I was very calm and managed to stay that way for the entire flight.
I owe that to Cheryl and can't thank her enough for making me feel so much better about flying. If you have a fear why not try hypnosis....you've nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Vicqui Swinton
Fear of being sick - For as long as I can remember right back into my childhood I have had a fear of sick, this included me physically being sick and others being sick, making me anxious, shaky, all sorts of negative feelings and emotions. This had continued and travelled with me all through my adult life, it had become that bad it had prevented me from doing things or avoiding things in case me or other people were ill. In 2013 I heard about hypnotherapy and how it can help fears and phobias so being open minded and desperate to be free of this on going fear I had, so I decided to give it a go. Well what can I say I had 3 sessions at Lamaris Therapies and I now no longer have this fear, I was made to feel at ease as I did not know what to expect from hypnosis, the therapy room is so full of warmth and calming colours it was easy to relax into it. I am now pregnant something I never thought I would want to be as I had a fear of babies being sick.
I only wish I had heard about hypnosis sooner, thank you from Claire, Swinton
