About me
I am a Clinical Solution‑Focused Hypnotherapist, DIP HYP CS Certified, MHS Accredited, and an Associate of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). I maintain an active membership with the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Counselling Society. I am fully accredited to practise within the recognised professional and ethical frameworks.
My practice is delivered in a manner consistent with clinical standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism. I provide a structured, evidence‑informed hypnotherapeutic intervention designed to support clients in achieving measurable and meaningful outcomes. Treatment plans are individually formulated, ensuring alignment with each client’s presenting concerns, therapeutic goals, and preferred pace of progress.
With over seven years of experience in private practice, my clinical work focuses on supporting individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, fear responses, phobic presentations, and other psychosocial difficulties. My approach emphasises collaborative goal‑setting, emotional regulation, and the development of adaptive cognitive and behavioural patterns.
Clinical Approach
Establishing a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment is central to effective treatment. During initial assessment, I prioritise rapport‑building, clear communication, and a thorough understanding of the client’s needs. This foundation supports the delivery of structured hypnotherapy interventions that facilitates a positive change.
Hypnotherapy operates by engaging the subconscious processes that underpin automatic behaviours, emotional responses, and learned patterns. The subconscious functions as a long‑term memory system, storing experiences and shaping behavioural tendencies. Through clinically guided hypnosis, clients enter a controlled state of relaxation that enhances receptivity to therapeutic suggestion and cognitive reframing. This process supports the reduction of maladaptive stress responses and promotes healthier psychological functioning.
Subconscious Processes
The subconscious mind influences habitual responses and internalised beliefs. It stores and retrieves information, reinforces self‑concept, and maintains behavioural patterns consistent with prior conditioning. During hypnosis, targeted therapeutic input can support the modification of these patterns, enabling clients to develop more adaptive emotional and behavioural responses. This process may be conceptualised as introducing new cognitive “seeds” into receptive psychological “soil,” allowing healthier patterns to emerge over time.
Client Experience
Sessions are structured to be clinically effective while maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere. Treatment is goal‑led, client‑centred, and designed to enhance self‑regulation, resilience, and overall wellbeing. Regardless of the presenting issue, the overarching aim is to support clients in regaining control over their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
