About me
I am a clinical hypno-psychotherapeutic counsellor. I have a keen interest in helping people work through trauma, anxiety and depression. I believe deeply in holding the hope of post-traumatic growth with my clients, in that healing and transformation are possible, even if the will to move forward sometimes needs gentle coaxing.
The prospect of change can be scary and you may have a straightforward goal or it could be difficult to articulate and know where to begin. Some may need short term work, others a bit longer - how long exactly? Well, my job is to work myself out of being needed, and that will take as long as it needs. You don't necessarily have to unravel everything, we can work with what's in front of us (and what's behind us, to an extent!)
I work in a person-centred way which means that you, the individual, are the expert on your life, and I will tailor my approach in a way that best suits your needs, utilising trance if and when appropriate.
Let's get you where you would like to get to.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Update January 2026: I now work in-person at The Hewson Clinic in Verwood, with availability on Wednesday from morning to mid-afternoon, with more availability to be announced by next month.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (NCHP) and graduated with a Certificate in Hypnotherapy in August 2023.
I received a Diploma in Hypno-psychotherapeutic Counselling through the NCHP in June 2025.
I am currently working towards UKCP accreditation as a Hypno-Psychotherapist, and thus am abiding by the UKCP Code of Ethics.
