About me

I became a clinical hypnotherapist because I am passionate about helping people live their best lives, which often means dealing with past trauma so that the person can move on and live their best possible life. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those with mental health conditions. I have applied this in work settings as part of well-being initiatives and for individuals. I too have undergone personal therapy, which I found to be useful and liberating

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Psychologist and postgraduate member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) and a Clinical Hypnotherapist, qualified in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (CHP). I specialise in Identity through my work in Psychology and focus on several areas of therapy including Trauma, Anxiety, depression, Stress Management, Psychosomatic Illness, Pain management, and Unwanted Behaviour Patterns. I am a member of the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), The National Society for Talking Therapies (NSTT) and a training member of the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP). I sign up to the NSTT and UKCP's professional conduct and ethics standards.

info Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Further information

I approach therapy from the person-centred perspective in an integrative way. This means that I believe each person is an individual with a unique window on the world and no two people are exactly alike. I therefore take various evidence-led approaches based on the individual and their needs at a given time. Whether you want to stop smoking, have a debilitating phobia that is preventing you from enjoying life, or are feeling adrift and alone, then therapy may be able to help you. I have specific training in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt Therapy as part of an integrated approach so whatever you come up with we can find the most appropriate path for you and help you to rebuild yourself and your life.
