Hypnotherapy (DPH, DNLP, CHPLR)

About me

About Me.

You've probably tried something before. It helped a bit. Or it didn't. Either way you're still here with the same problem.

That's not a character flaw. It's a method problem. Most approaches work on the surface. This one doesn't.

I'm Alexandra. I find what's actually causing the problem — not the symptom on top, the thing running underneath it. When that changes, the problem stops. Properly. Not managed down. Stopped.

Twelve years. 9,000 hours. 2,500 clients. This is all I do.

What I fix

Anxiety · Panic attacks · Health anxiety · Social anxiety · OCD · Fear of flying · Phobias · Sleep · Overthinking · Confidence · Self-worth · Relationships · Emotional eating · Stopping smoking · Toilet anxiety · IBS · Performance anxiety · Stress

See yours? Good. That's where we start.

Not sure if yours is on the list? Get in touch. It probably is.

The Mapping Session

Everything starts here. Forty minutes. £97. In person or Zoom.

This is the first piece of work — not a consultation, not a sales call. By the end of it you'll know exactly what's been causing the problem and what it will take to fix it.

Most people leave feeling two things they haven't felt in a long time. Not broken. And genuinely hopeful.

The £97 comes off the programme cost if you go ahead. You're not spending it — you're starting.

If I can't help you I'll tell you straight. You leave with clarity either way.

What happens next

After the Mapping Session I'll tell you exactly what I recommend and what it will cost. No guessing. No open-ended commitment.

Programmes from £495. The £97 comes off that.

You'll never be seen more times than you need. We're here to fix it. Not keep you coming back.

The diary

My diary runs weeks ahead. It has done for twelve years.

The slot that's available this week may not be there next week. The people who booked six weeks ago are already seeing results. The people who waited are still waiting.

A note on suitability

This work is for adults and young people aged 16 and over who are ready for structured change. It is not crisis intervention and it is not a substitute for psychiatric or medical care. If you have a complex psychiatric history, please get in touch before booking — I will always be honest with you about whether this is the right fit.

The next step

If something here has landed — that's information. Don't scroll past it.

Forty minutes. £97. The clearest picture of your situation you will have had from any appointment.

Book at alexandrahypnotherapy.co.uk — or send a message through the site if you have a question first. I read every one and respond personally.

Training, qualifications & experience

Credentials

Senior Hypnotherapist and Supervisor — General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).

The Supervisor accreditation means I'm qualified to supervise other hypnotherapy professionals. That requires a level of experience and expertise beyond standard practitioner level.

Member — GHSC · CNHC · NCIP Certified Mace Energy Method Practitioner BA Honours, English and Italian Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Ethics

Before hypnotherapy — eight years in journalism. That taught me to find what someone is actually saying beneath what they think they're saying. Quickly. Without wasting time.

That's useful in this work.

The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Additional information

All work begins with a Mapping Session — 40 minutes at £97. This is a paid piece of work in its own right, not a consultation. By the end of it, you will know exactly what is present, how it formed, and what the most direct route through it looks like.

From there, work continues starting at £495 for a programme of sessions. The Mapping Session fee is deducted from this sum if you choose to go ahead.

Payment plans are available.

I work in programmes only. I do not offer single ongoing sessions or open-ended weekly appointments. There is a clear structure, a clear direction, and a point of completion.

Further information

In-person sessions take place at a private office suite at Mexborough Business Centre, South Yorkshire — a professional setting with free parking, easy access from Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield, and no need to visit a residential address.

For clients who prefer it, this matters. A dedicated professional environment is not the same as sitting in someone's front room — and for many people, that distinction makes the difference between making the appointment and not.

Online sessions are available via Zoom and are the primary delivery method. They are equally effective and preferred by the majority of clients.

Rescheduling policy: a minimum of one week's notice is required to rearrange any appointment. This allows the time to be offered to another client. Appointments cancelled with less than one week's notice may be charged in full.
