About me
I trained as a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2010, at the prestigious Clifton Practice for Hypnotherapy in Bristol - one of the leading Schools for Hypnotherapy in the UK.
I curently work face to face, from my lovely comfortable therapy room at my home in Warminster, which is a relaxed and pleasant environment. The therapy sessions are individually tailored for each client and confidentiality is assured.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Clinical Hypnotherapy...
SFBT Clinical Hypnotherapy, uses the very pleasant safe & relaxing application of hypnotic techniques, to bring about therapeutic positive change.
This is not an analytical therapy (i.e. it does not focus on the Past). It helps people move forward in a very positive and empowering way, in a short period of time. It uses aspects of NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). We look at the solutions, not the problems.
SFBT is completely different to Stage Hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful psychotherapeutic tool used to break the negative cycles of depression, anxiety, anger and associated symptoms, and helps many other problems. It is a widely accepted and popular method of treating and alleviating many different physical and emotional health problems.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 23 years experience working as a Senior Staff Nurse in a leading European Addiction Treatment Centre, where I also led Relaxation Workshops for over 20 years.
I have Diplomas in Professional Relaxation Therapy, Creative Visualisation and Colour Therapy and have trained in Emotional Freedom Technique, Reiki and Meditation.
I am fully accredited, insured and CRB checked. I am bound by the strict professional code of conduct and ethics of the Profession and I am recognised by the Department of Health as a Qualified Hypnotherapy Practitioner. I am also registered with The CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), and The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). I have regular supervision and ongoing training.

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
