About me
Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am a professionally qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, coach, and mindfulness and meditation teacher. I draw on my experience and training to offer the best support to my clients.
I work with a wide range of issues but find a lot of my work is linked to:
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Menopause
- Low self-worth
- Imposter Syndrome
- Phobias
Late diagnosis of ADHD and how hypnotherapy can help
I am increasingly working with women who are realising later in life that they have ADHD. They may have sought diagnosis as a result of their own ongoing challenges or more commonly recognised their ADHD traits when their children have been diagnosed.
It can take time to come to terms with this diagnosis and there may be a number of complicated feelings including
- Anxiety
- Grief - regret at what life might have been like with an earlier diagnosis
- Burnout
- Overwhelm
Difficulty managing the menopause at the same time as coming to terms with ADHD
I have come across so many women who have been so hard on themselves because they just didn't know that their unique and creative brains functioned in a different way to neurotypical women of the same age. If you add in the effects of the drop in oestrogen and the rise of progesterone in menopause it’s no wonder they feel like they might be losing the plot.
How hypnotherapy can help
- Help you understand how ADHD is affecting your life
- Help you move forward on your own terms
- Increase your self-worth and confidence
- Get to the route and calm anxious feelings
- Help you reclaim your identity
Completing a course of hypnotherapy is a way to access your inner potential and release unhelpful thoughts, actions, and beliefs. Therefore, I respect that you are the one who knows the most about yourself, my job is to support your journey in whatever way is appropriate for for you.
If you would like to find out more about how hypnotherapy can help you please contact me here. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
