I specialise in anxiety, stress, panic attacks, low self-esteem, menopause, sleep problems, weight loss, phobias, and pain control.

I am a qualified Hypnotherapist with a background in teaching, offering clinical and solution focused hypnotherapy, parts hypnotherapy combined with mindfulness techniques, meditation, and EFT.

I have helped people from different backgrounds and with a range of issues to make positive shifts and improve their lives and achieve their goals. I will work with you on achieving your goals and on making positive changes to your life, in a supportive, compassionate, safe, caring, and private environment.

During the first session, we talk about your problems, we discuss your goals, and then we create a plan on how we would work on this. With hypnotherapy, the course of therapy is tailor made to each client’s needs. Normally the therapy takes 4-6 sessions. In some cases, it takes 12 sessions. It all depends on the situation and type of approach we agree to take.

Further information

Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I had 18+ years experience as a teacher. During that time, I supported many children, parents, and carers experiencing emotional and mental health issues. I did this with compassion and care. I saw how healthy and unhealthy habits can start in childhood and how we carry these with us into our adulthood. I came to understand how negative thought and behaviour patterns are embedded at a young age.

I tried hypnotherapy myself and found it helpful and calming and my negative thought patterns started to change. I developed more positive and healthy thought and behaviour patterns. I then decided to study hypnotherapy myself. I love using hypnotherapy to help people improve their lives.

Testimonials

It's now been a few months since our sessions ended, and I've  lost almost 2 1/2 stone in total - something I really didn't think would be possible. I'm enjoying exercise again

and am able to enjoy the odd treat or  glass of wine without it ruining my diet. I will definitely recommend Maha to anyone I know who's looking for weight loss options. R.

I lost my confidence and struggled to feel confident as a British Muslim woman at work. The discomfort and feelings of being inadequate were exhausting. Maha's sessions always left me with a sense of calm and stillness, this helped me feel more relaxed and focused in the coming weeks. I became more aware of how my body reacts to anxiety. Maha enabled me to envisage my safe space, empowered me with tools to believe in myself and embody the positive affirmations she would use in her therapy. I was more confident and calm in my own skin at work, less reliant on the opinions of others for validation and as a result, more effective. HE-S

Maha and I were only able to meet face to face at my very first session before the pandemic in March. We then switched to video call. This went really well and I was able to plug in my headphones while Maha took me through her script into deep relaxation.

I felt the sessions were very helpful as I was experiencing a lot of work stressors including difficult work colleagues. After a weekly discussion regarding my concerns, Maha was able to adjust her script so we could work on managing techniques. I found the breathing exercises really helpful which I continue to this day.

All in all it was a very positive experience for me and I have been able to continue to manage my anxieties with Maha’s help and guidance. I thoroughly recommend the service Maha provides and I feel this type of therapy is beneficial for any concerns. J.
