Fears and phobias
Is a fear or phobia holding you back? For some people, irrational fears or phobias are an inconvenience but many sufferers find they significantly hinder their enjoyment of everyday life. Whatever your personal experience or the cause, I can help you retrain your mind to provide a different response to previously fearful situations. I have successfully helped many clients overcome fears such as flying, spiders, needles, motorway driving, heights, birds and clowns. Often a significant change has been experienced within 3 sessions.
Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy
Quit smoking in just one session! The goal of my Stop Smoking session is for you to leave the room as a non-smoker after just one session that is tailored to your individual requirements. During the session we will look at the effect smoking is currently having on you personally, the implications for your future and discuss how your life will improve when you become a non-smoker.
There are many unconscious reasons why people become and continue to be smokers and, having discussed your personal situation, I will use a range of techniques including hypnosis to reinforce your desire to stop smoking. Your personal description of the life you want will be used during hypnosis to resolve any inner conflict and support your goal to stop smoking and every part of you will see yourself as a non-smoker.
Moderate levels of anxiety are a normal part of everyday life but when anxiety is extreme it can be very disruptive. Panic attacks, an extreme form of anxiety, also have physical symptoms such as palpitations, sweating and trembling. I recommend a 4 week programme for dealing with anxiety or panic attacks during which we will explore how the anxiety you are experiencing feels for you and develop new coping skills and techniques to use in stressful situations. The probability of panic attacks can be greatly reduced and you can learn how to manage them.
During the sessions, I use hypnosis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Brainworking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to help you deconstruct any negative beliefs and create a more positive outlook. You will learn techniques that you can also apply to stressful situations in the future so that your former anxious way of thinking will be in the past.
My programme is tailored to your personal requirements and we will work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and the accompanying anxiety is a condition that affects many people. Hypnotherapy has been found to be beneficial and it is an area in which I have undergone additional training. I offer a programme that addresses management of this condition.
Weight Loss Hypnotherapy
My weight loss sessions focus on exploring your emotional relationship with food and helping you to regain control of your eating. My aim is to help you to eat for the right reason - because you are hungry and not because you are depressed, bored, in need of comfort or any other emotional reason that has led you to eat in the past.
Diets often focus on food that is to be avoided, cultivate a sense of deprivation and often fail. I use hypnotherapy to help you to overcome the inner conflict that dieting can bring. Weight loss can be easier and more enjoyable under this programme as you choose to change your behaviour rather than relying on will-power alone.
Gastric Band Hypnotherapy
I am a registered Hypno band hypnotherapist.
Gastric band hypnotherapy addresses the underlying reasons for weight problems and trains your mind to think and behave in a healthier way around food including portion control and food choices. Over a series of 4 sessions your subconscious mind is encouraged to behave as though a gastric band operation has been performed resulting in a smaller appetite and subsequent weight loss.
In the first sessions we will focus on exploring your relationship with food and begin the process of making changes to your eating habits. In the subsequent sessions we continue with making behavioural changes and the "gastric band" is introduced and adjusted.
I also provide recordings for you to listen to at home.
