About me

I see many different clients for many different reasons, whether it's to quit smoking, lose weight, for panic attacks, fears and phobias, just to feel better about themselves or to move forward with a particular issue that's affecting their life. Without doubt, the one theme common to them all is the desire for change. Most will have tried various other ways of achieving their goals but without success. Many arrive feeling sceptical about Hypnotherapy but often leave with the thought, "Why didn't I do this years ago??!"

The thing that surprises most people new to Hypnotherapy is that it's so relaxing and they are in total control at all times, as they determine the success of their own treatment; I am merely a facilitator in their therapy and the guide on their individual journey.

Many of us are creatures of habit and tend to live our lives on auto pilot because that’s what we’ve always done and, quite frankly, for most people it’s comfortable. But deep down, are we always happy with that? Perhaps there’s something you think you should be doing better or looking at in a different way. Perhaps, without even knowing it, there’s an issue from your past that’s limiting your present and preventing you from moving forward. How many times do we make New Year resolutions to stop smoking, lose weight; to stop feeling so stressed all the time or to get help with physical or psychological pain that won't go away but we still find that yet another year goes by and nothing has changed?

The main thing that always holds us back is FEAR – principally fear of change. We believe that change can't happen or it's slow and painful and thus we imagine that change will be a frightening thing.

That’s where Hypnotherapy can help. It’s probably the most powerful and effective tool you could ever have in your journey to success, health and happiness. Hypnotherapy is your investment in you!

So what is involved at the initial session?

An Initial Consultation is included in the first session and will last up to ninety minutes whilst any subsequent therapy sessions typically take around fifty minutes. This first session is dedicated to gaining an in-depth knowledge of you as a person so that I, as your hypnotherapist can develop the therapy specifically for you with a correct understanding of the precise nature of the issue and how it affects your life. I will then fully explain the procedure and we will agree a realistic expectation of a result. Hypnotherapy is very much a partnership between Therapist and Client so your input and full co-operation are essential to ensure a successful outcome. Once satisfied that hypnotherapy will be of benefit to you and that we should proceed, I will relax you into a light hypnotic state so that you can experience the process and the therapy may begin.

Using various techniques tailored directly to your specific needs, I can help you to overcome a variety of lifestyle issues including:

.  Quit Smoking
.  Weight Control and Healthy Eating
.  Fears and Phobias
.  Unwanted Habits
.  Exam and Driving Test Nerves
.  Pain Control and Pain Relief
.  Relaxation for Childbirth
.  General Anxiety and Panic Attacks
.  Stress Management and Relaxation
.  Anger Management
.  Public Speaking and Performance Anxiety
.  Revive Close Relationships
.  Boosting Self Confidence

... and many more.

So, if you're serious about making a positive change in your life, then don't hesitate. Hypnotherapy could be the perfect solution. All consultations are private and strictly confidential and I will do my utmost to help you move forward in the shortest time possible in order to change your life for the better.

Fees

£70.00 - £150.00

Additional information

I work on a purely private-practice basis and thus my fees will take account of this. There is no standard price for a particular course of therapy, as every client is different and is treated as a unique individual so some treatments take longer than others and this will be reflected in the overall cost of therapy. I will never prolong therapy unnecessarily and we will always discuss the cost of treatment and a suitable period of review before commencing.

TYPICAL SESSION FEES:

  • The Initial Consultation - This is where I take detailed background information from you in order to tailor the therapy to your specific requirements and can last between 90 mins. and 2 hours. It is included free in the first session and charged at the same Standard Session rate of £70.
  • A Standard Session lasting between 50 mins. and 1 hour is charged at £70.
  • Quit Smoking is a single session lasting up to three hours and is charged at £150.

No VAT is payable on any therapy I undertake.

All printed materials and media provided by me as an aid to your therapy are included in the session price and thus supplied free of charge.

PAYMENT
Prior to the Initial Consultation or Quit Smoking session, I request 50% of the fee as a deposit to secure your booking. The balance can be paid prior to or at the session.

Payment can be made by card, cash, cheque or BACS only and will be due at the beginning of the session prior to any treatment. Unfortunately, if payment is not possible at this point, then no treatment can be undertaken.

DEPOSITS
Please note that due to appointment availability, demand for my services and last-minute cancellations or no-shows (meaning I am unable to offer appointments to others), I charge a retainer of £20 for your treatment. This is to cover any future cancellations etc. and is payable at the first session. It is held until the final session, which is decided by you, the client. Assuming it has not been forfeited, the retainer will be deducted from the cost of your final therapy session provided that more than one session has been agreed and attended.

CANCELLATIONS
If a session is booked but not attended without having given sufficient notice, then the deposit will be used to meet the partial cost of that session. The notice period for being unable to attend is a minimum of 48 hours. Cancellations within less than 48 hours will result in the loss of your retainer. Also, if you fail to show up for the session at all without giving notice then you will also lose your retainer and be charged the balance to cover the full cost of that particular session.
