Anxiety, Fears, and Phobia Therapist DCH | ADCH | BA (hons)

About me

The NeuRAC Method significantly reduces your anxiety within 4-weeks
Anxiety | Panic | Phobias | Stress | Burnout | Emotional Dysregulation

A personalised approach to understanding fear, anxiety and the patterns that can keep you feeling stuck
When anxiety or panic takes over, it can feel as though your mind and body are working against you.

Your heart races.

You may feel disconnected, shaky, sick or overwhelmed.

You may experience an urgent need to use the bathroom, constantly scan your body for signs of danger, or become frightened by sensations that you once barely noticed.

You may become afraid of having another panic attack.

And then, gradually, your life can begin to change around the fear.

You might start avoiding driving, travelling, supermarkets, restaurants, social situations or places where you fear you won't be able to escape.

You may worry about being embarrassed, losing control, becoming unwell, being judged or feeling trapped.

Perhaps you have started avoiding going out altogether.

Perhaps your world has become smaller without you even realising quite how much.

And perhaps the most frustrating part is that you know you want to move forward, but something keeps pulling you back into the same cycle.

The Neurac Method has been developed to help you understand and change the patterns, responses and associations that may be keeping you caught in the cycle of anxiety, fear and panic, helping you move towards greater CALM freedom, confidence and choice.

This is a personally tailored and structured approach that explores the relationship between your sense of self, thoughts, emotions, learned responses and physical reactions to overcome the grip of fear.

And importantly, you don't necessarily have to spend months or years analysing the past in order to begin moving forward.

What Is The Neurac Method?
The Neurac Method is an intensive, integrative and personalised approach designed to support people experiencing anxiety, panic, phobias, fears, emotional difficulties and stress that may be interfering with everyday life.

For some people, their difficulties may be connected to one particular traumatic or distressing experience.

For others, they may have developed gradually through repeated experiences, learned responses, prolonged stress, difficult circumstances, relationships, childhood experiences or patterns that have developed over many years.

Sometimes, the fear isn't simply about what is happening right now.

You may find yourself caught in a carousel of thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and reactions, going round and round, unable to seem to hook onto anything solid or find a way out or off.

You know you want to move forward.

You may even know logically that you're safe.

But something inside you continues to react as though you aren't.

This can affect far more than anxiety itself.

It can influence your:

Confidence
Relationships
Work and career
Decision-making
Self-worth
Emotional wellbeing
Sense of freedom
Ability to do the things you want to do
Belief in yourself and your ability to cope

The Neurac Method explores the patterns that may be contributing to these difficulties, with the aim of helping you develop greater emotional freedom, confidence and choice in the way you respond.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme, The Neurac Method is built around you, your symptoms, experiences, emotional responses, circumstances and the patterns you want to change.

What The Neurac Method Draws From
My approach has been developed through more than 14 years of professional training and practical therapeutic experience, drawing from a range of approaches and techniques, including:

Rapid phobia and anxiety techniques

Rather than applying every technique to every person, I consider what is appropriate for you.

Your programme is therefore flexible, individual and responsive to what you actually need every step of the way.

The amount of support required will depend on your individual circumstances, needs and the complexity and duration of what you are experiencing.

Your First Step
A Free, No-Obligation 20-Minute Telephone Consultation
I understand that asking for help can feel daunting, particularly when anxiety has already made everyday life difficult.  My approach is solution-focused, but I will always match your pace.

That's why the process begins with a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone consultation.

We'll talk about:

What you're experiencing
How it is affecting your life
What you would like to change
What you hope to achieve
What support you may need
It also gives us an opportunity to explore whether my approach may be suitable for you and whether I am the right person to support you.

There is no pressure to commit to anything.

It's simply a chance to talk, ask questions, and understand your options.

Working Together
If we decide that working together is appropriate, your next step is a full, personalised assessment, which is included in your first therapy session.

This allows me to gain a deeper understanding of your:

Symptoms
Patterns
Triggers
Emotional responses
Behaviours
Avoidance patterns
Experiences
Goals
Current circumstances
From there, your programme can be tailored specifically to you.

This is not a standard treatment plan.
Your programme is built around you, for you.

For experiences that are particularly traumatic or difficult to revisit, I may use a no-content approach, where appropriate.  This means you do not necessarily have to repeatedly describe, analyse or relive distressing experiences in order to work towards change.

Your mental and emotional wellbeing and your sense of safety will always be a priority.

During your assessment, we'll discuss your individual needs and the most appropriate way forward, with the intention of helping you move towards greater calm, confidence and freedom.

About Me
With 14+ years of professional training and experience, I specialise in supporting people experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia, phobias, stress, emotional overwhelm, burnout, low mood and trauma-related difficulties.

I understand that asking for help can feel daunting.

Especially when you've been struggling for a long time.

You may have become very good at hiding how you're feeling.

You may look perfectly fine on the outside while internally you're exhausted from constantly managing your thoughts, emotions, symptoms or fears.

You may have reached the point where you're simply tired of your life being organised around what you can't do.

My approach is warm, friendly, personalised and non-judgemental.

I don't believe you should have to fit yourself into a rigid programme.

My aim is to understand you as an individual, understand what is keeping you stuck, and work alongside you towards meaningful change.

Training, Qualifications & Experience
My professional training and experience includes:

Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy
Diploma in Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy

Having studied at the Surrey College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and Swansea University.

I have worked with clients throughout the UK, online and internationally.

My approach combines advanced clinical hypnotherapy with rapid and complementary therapeutic and coaching techniques, allowing me to develop an approach around the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.

My Core Specialism
FEARS, ANXIETY & STRESS RELIEF
I support individuals across Carmarthenshire, West Wales and online throughout the UK, using a personalised, step-by-step approach with hypnotherapy at its core.

The focus is on helping you:

Reduce the impact anxiety and stress may have on your life
Develop greater emotional resilience
Feel more comfortable in everyday situations
Build confidence in yourself
Increase your sense of choice and control
Move towards doing more of the things that matter to you
Rated 4.9/5 by clients using my online services.

Hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques designed to support improved sleep, relaxation and restorative rest.

Habit Change & Lifestyle Support
Support with changing unwanted habits and developing healthier patterns, including smoking cessation and weight-management support.

What Can You Expect?
Every person responds differently, and there is no single timeline for change.

For some issues, a relatively short programme may be appropriate.

For more complex or long-standing difficulties, additional support may be appropriate.

This can be discussed during your assessment.

The intention is never to keep you in therapy unnecessarily.

The aim is to provide the level of support that is appropriate for you while helping you develop greater confidence in your own ability to move forward.

Ultimately, I want you to feel increasingly able to take what you learn with you into your own life.

The Wider Benefits of Working With Me
The Neurac Method isn't only about reducing anxiety, panic, fear or stress.

As you begin to understand yourself, your responses and the patterns that may have been holding you back, the benefits may extend into other areas of your life.

As you become less governed by fear, overwhelm or old patterns, you may begin to experience a greater sense of choice, confidence, resilience and personal freedom.

Working together may support you in developing:

Greater Emotional Resilience
Learning to recognise and respond differently to difficult thoughts, emotions and situations may help you feel better equipped to navigate life's challenges, setbacks and uncertainty.

Increased Confidence
As you begin doing more of the things fear or anxiety may previously have prevented you from doing, you may develop greater trust in yourself and your ability to cope.

A Stronger Sense of Self
Understanding your own needs, patterns, boundaries and emotional responses can help you reconnect with who you are beyond anxiety, fear, expectations or past experiences.

Greater Self-Belief
You may begin to challenge the belief that you cannot cope, cannot change or cannot do certain things, developing a growing sense of capability and self-trust.

More Emotional Freedom
Rather than feeling controlled by automatic reactions, avoidance, intrusive thoughts or overwhelming emotions, you may develop greater freedom in how you respond.

Improved Self-Worth
Working through self-criticism, limiting beliefs, shame, rejection sensitivity or experiences that have affected how you see yourself may support a healthier and more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Greater Self-Awareness
Developing an understanding of your triggers, behaviours, emotional responses and learned patterns can give you greater insight into why you respond the way you do — and what you may be able to do differently.

Better Boundaries
As confidence and self-worth develop, you may find it easier to recognise your needs, communicate them, say no when appropriate and make decisions that are more aligned with you.

Greater Independence
The aim isn't for you to become dependent on therapy. Quite the opposite. It is to support you in developing greater confidence in your own ability to manage life's challenges and make choices for yourself.

More Courage to Move Forward
When fear no longer dictates every decision, you may feel more able to take opportunities, try new things, make changes and step outside the limitations anxiety may have created.

Improved Decision-Making
With less fear, overthinking and emotional overwhelm influencing your choices, you may find it easier to think clearly, trust yourself and make decisions with greater confidence.

Greater Capacity to Handle Change
Life will always involve uncertainty, challenges and change.  Developing greater emotional resilience may help you feel more equipped to navigate these experiences without automatically becoming overwhelmed.

Improved Relationships
As your relationship with yourself changes — which is where your life truly begins — this may have a positive influence on how you communicate, establish boundaries, respond to others and approach relationships.

A Greater Sense of Personal Agency
You may begin to move from:

"I can't."
"I have no choice."
"This always happens to me."
Towards:

"I have choices."
"I can respond differently."
"I can influence what happens next."

Self-Actualisation & Personal Growth
For some people, reducing anxiety is only the beginning.

Once fear and old emotional patterns no longer occupy quite so much mental and emotional space, there can be an opportunity to explore what you genuinely want from life.

Your values.

Your ambitions.

Your relationships.

Your career.

Your purpose.

Your potential.

The goal isn't necessarily simply to get you back to where you were before anxiety or fear took hold.

For some people, the journey becomes about discovering a stronger, more confident and more authentic version of themselves.

From Surviving to Living an Inspired Life
When your life has been organised around avoiding fear, preventing panic, managing symptoms or trying to stay safe, it can be difficult to imagine anything beyond simply getting through the day.

But as greater calm, confidence and emotional resilience develop, your focus can begin to shift.

From avoiding → towards participating.

From surviving → towards living.

From fear → towards choice.

From self-doubt → towards self-trust.

From limitation → towards possibility.

From simply coping → towards growing.

The Neurac Method is ultimately about helping you create greater freedom in the way you think, feel, respond and live.

So that your life can become shaped more by who you are and what matters to you, rather than by fear, anxiety or old patterns.

And perhaps that is the real goal.

Not simply learning how to manage anxiety.

But getting back to, or discovering, the life you actually want to live.

These are potential areas of change rather than guaranteed outcomes. Every person's experience is different, and the benefits you experience will depend on your individual circumstances, needs and engagement with the process.

Hypnosis – Frequently Asked Questions

What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation. During hypnosis, you may become more aware of your thoughts, feelings and imagination, making it easier to consider positive changes and therapeutic suggestions.

What does hypnosis feel like?
Everyone experiences hypnosis differently. You may feel deeply relaxed, calm and comfortable, while still being aware of what is happening. Some people describe it as similar to daydreaming or becoming completely absorbed in a good book or film.

Am I in control during hypnosis?
Yes. You remain in control throughout the session. Hypnosis does not take away your ability to think, make decisions or choose whether to accept a suggestion.

Can I be made to do something against my will?
No. Hypnosis is not mind control. You cannot be forced to do something that goes against your values or wishes simply because you are hypnotised.

Will I be asleep?
No. Although you may feel extremely relaxed, hypnosis is not sleep. You can hear the therapist and respond if you wish.

Will I remember what happens?
Usually, yes. Most people remember the session. You remain conscious and aware, although you may become so relaxed and absorbed that some parts of the experience feel less important or vivid afterwards.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No. You cannot become permanently stuck in hypnosis. It is a temporary state, and you can naturally come out of it whenever you need to.

Can everyone be hypnotised?
Most people can experience hypnosis to some degree. However, everyone's experience is different. Being willing to participate and allowing yourself to become relaxed and focused can make the experience easier.

Do I have to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
No. You don't have to "believe" in hypnosis. Having an open mind and being willing to participate is generally more important than having a particular belief about hypnosis.

Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is generally considered a gentle and non-invasive therapeutic technique when carried out appropriately by a suitably trained practitioner. Your practitioner should discuss your individual circumstances and whether hypnosis is appropriate for you.

What can hypnotherapy help with?
People seek hypnotherapy for a wide variety of goals, including confidence, relaxation, stress management, unwanted habits, fears and phobias, sleep difficulties and making positive behavioural changes. Suitability varies from person to person.

How many hypnotherapy sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number. Some people may feel they have achieved their goal after a small number of sessions, while others may benefit from additional support. Your practitioner can discuss this with you based on your individual circumstances and goals.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session?
Your session will normally begin with a conversation about what you would like to achieve. Your practitioner may then guide you into a comfortable, relaxed and focused state before using appropriate therapeutic techniques and suggestions. The session will finish with you being guided back to your normal level of alertness.

Can I talk while I'm hypnotised?
Yes. You can speak and communicate during hypnosis. You don't have to remain silent or completely still.

What if I don't go into a deep trance?
Hypnosis doesn't have to feel dramatic or extremely deep to be useful. People experience different levels of relaxation and focus, and your practitioner can adapt the session to you.

Is hypnotherapy the same as stage hypnosis?
No. Stage hypnosis is primarily entertainment. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach designed around an individual's personal goals and circumstances.

Will the hypnotherapist have control over my mind?
No. A hypnotherapist guides you through the process, but you remain an active participant. Hypnosis does not give the practitioner control over your mind.

Can hypnosis change my personality?
Hypnosis is not about changing who you are. The aim of hypnotherapy is generally to help you make changes that you have chosen for yourself and that support your wellbeing and goals.

Can hypnosis bring back forgotten memories?
Hypnosis should not be regarded as a reliable way of recovering accurate memories. Memories can be incomplete or change over time, and suggestions can sometimes influence recollection. A responsible practitioner should take care with any work involving memories.

Can I hypnotise myself?
Some people learn self-hypnosis techniques to support relaxation, focus and personal goals. A trained practitioner can teach you techniques that you may be able to practise independently.

What should I do before my hypnosis session?
Generally, you simply need to arrive comfortable and prepared to participate. It can be helpful to avoid rushing immediately beforehand and to discuss any concerns or questions with your practitioner.

What if I fall asleep during hypnosis?
It can happen, particularly if you are very relaxed or tired. Your practitioner can usually guide you through the session and gently bring you back to full alertness at the end.

Can hypnosis work if I am sceptical?
Yes. You don't need to be completely convinced about hypnosis beforehand. Many people are simply curious or unsure when they attend their first session. You can approach the experience with an open mind and see how it feels for you.

How quickly will I notice a difference?
This varies considerably. Some people notice changes quickly, while for others change develops gradually through repeated sessions and practice. Results can depend on the individual, the goal and their circumstances.

Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?
Not necessarily. Your practitioner should consider your individual circumstances and whether hypnotherapy is appropriate. Hypnotherapy should not be presented as a replacement for necessary medical or psychological care.

What if I'm nervous about trying hypnosis?
That's completely understandable. Many people have questions or concerns before their first session, particularly if their only experience of hypnosis has been through television, films or stage performances. Your practitioner should take the time to explain the process, answer your questions and make sure you feel comfortable before proceeding. You should never feel pressured to take part.
