About me

About Holly…

Qualified in Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Psychotherapy, My interest in psychology and people has been lifelong.
I specialise in working with Addiction (smoking, drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, internet), Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Fertility problems and Childbirth (hypnobirthing).

I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and have trained under a United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy accredited training provider.

My employment background is in the voluntary and public sector working with young people and adults needing help for alcohol and drug problems.  I have worked for the Youth Offending Team, Adult Drug services and Homelessness projects in Preston, Blackpool and Manchester.  I worked for 9 years at Manchester’s Mental Health and Social Care Trust working with alcohol dependency, self harm, psychiatric disorders, child protection and complex physical health problems. I am currently the Criminal Justice Co-ordinator for Manchester drug and alcohol services. I enjoy working with a range of clients and feel my work background gives me a unique perspective into my psycho-therapeutic practice

I hold the Hypno-Psychotherapy diploma awarded by The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, which is recognised as one of the leading postgraduate training colleges in Europe and one of the only UKCP accredited colleges.

I have a postgraduate diploma in Substance Misuse and have completed various training courses in the course of my career including a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and course certificates in Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Counselling and Motivational Interviewing.

The human mind and body is a fascinating and a hugely powerful tool. It is the way we apply ourselves that determines the quality of life that we lead. Through a combination of Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, I will work with you to ensure that we get the best possible outcome in the most effective way for you.

I offer a friendly and confidential service. I believe strongly that we all have a capacity to achieve our goals and are able to overcome issues and obstacles that have arisen recently or been with us since childhood.
