About me
Online Therapy for Professional Women Navigating Anxiety, Perimenopause, Burnout, IBS and Chronic Stress
There are times in life when the strategies that once helped you succeed no longer seem to work in the same way.
Many of the women I work with are highly capable professionals who are used to functioning at a consistently high level. They are often leaders, clinicians, academics, founders, or senior professionals who have spent years managing pressure, caring for others, and coping independently.
Then something begins to shift.
You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, insomnia, brain fog, emotional overwhelm, rage, exhaustion, hot flushes, or a loss of confidence and mental clarity that feels unfamiliar and frightening. Tasks that once felt manageable may suddenly feel much harder. You may notice yourself becoming emotionally reactive, forgetful, depleted, or unable to recover properly from stress.
For women who are used to being resilient and dependable, these changes can feel deeply destabilising.
By the time many clients reach out, they are often at breaking point. Some are questioning whether they need to resign from demanding roles, step away from relationships, or completely change their lives simply to cope. Underneath this is often a quieter inner dialogue:
“What’s wrong with me?”
“Why can’t I handle things anymore?”
“I don't recognise myself any more.”
Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what is happening, and find a more sustainable way forward.
I use evidence-based hypnotherapy alongside CBT, ACT, and nervous system-informed approaches to help reduce symptom overwhelm and support greater emotional and cognitive steadiness. My work is practical, psychologically informed, and grounded in evidence.
Clinical research has shown hypnosis can significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flushes and night sweats, while also improving sleep, anxiety, stress regulation, and emotional well-being for many women during menopause.
Many clients seek support because they are struggling with:
- insomnia and disrupted sleep;
- anxiety and chronic stress;
- emotional overwhelm or increased irritability;
- burnout and exhaustion;
- brain fog and cognitive fatigue;
- loss of confidence or professional self-belief;
- difficulty coping in the way they once could;
- pain, tension, or persistent physical stress symptoms.
Therapy with me is collaborative, tailored, and gently challenging. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we work to understand both the psychological and physiological impact of what you are experiencing, while building strategies that help you feel steadier, clearer, and more able to function in a way that feels sustainable.
Clients often say they appreciate the warmth I bring to the work and the feeling that we are working through things together rather than them being “treated”.
Over time, many clients begin to notice:
- reduced overwhelm and anxiety
- improved sleep and emotional regulation
- clearer thinking and concentration
- greater self-understanding
- healthier boundaries
- more self-compassion
- a stronger sense of steadiness and direction
Perimenopause can affect far more than physical symptoms. It can challenge identity, confidence, relationships, and the way you experience yourself in the world. Therapy can provide a space to make sense of these changes and find a way through that does not rely solely on pushing yourself harder.
