About me

Hi... I'm Debbie.  Firstly, thank you for visiting my profile.   Whatever may be concerning you…I’m here to help.

I'm a fully qualified Hypnotherapist in both suggestion and solution-focused Hypnotherapy, although I now focus on the solution-focused approach as I have seen how beneficial it can be, because it is more client-led and because it is supported by the latest research in neuroscience.

On the first day of a Counselling course our Tutor demonstrated Hypnotherapy; straight away I could see how it could benefit and I was so impressed that I changed my career path, and, instead, I undertook the most advanced Hypnotherapy training available.

Solution-focused Hypnotherapy is a gentle, modern therapy and is based on neuroscience and client-led psychotherapy.  It can be a very effective way to re-evaluate your thoughts, actions, and behaviour.  I will explain how the brain works in relation to your issue so that you have a fuller understanding of the issue. I have found the Solution-focused psychotherapy approach to be so effective that I have now integrated it into my voluntary work as a Pet Bereavement Counsellor - this is where I can give back.

For most issues you don't have to re-visit past events or the history of the issue; we will work on how you currently feel and how we can collaboratively move towards how you want to feel.

I have helped clients with issues such as phobias, anxiety, chronic pain, weight loss, depression, stopping smoking, stress, driving test anxiety, singing confidence, workplace bullying, imposter syndrome... and many more.

I have over twenty seven years experience in working with vulnerable Adults and Teenagers; there won’t be much I haven’t heard, nothing will faze me, and I have had a valuable insight into issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, debt, anger, chronic pain, addiction, the impact of crime…and many more.  I am also very experienced in working with, and understanding, ADHD, Dyspraxia and what would originally have been termed ‘Asperger Syndrome’.

My style is eclectic; as well as using a Solution-focused approach, I am trained in Counselling, CBT, DBT, NLP, Mindfulness and more.  I work with positivity and I always look for humour.   I can promise empathy, compassion, understanding and confidentiality and I will do all I can to work collaboratively with you to help you move towards the life you deserve.

I am currently working online but I am happy to visit you at home, within a 20 mile radius of Littlehampton.  I am fully insured and hold enhanced DBS for working with Adults and Children.

Thank you so much for visiting my profile.  I look forward to working with you.
