About me

OPEN during Covid-19 for face to face sessions in the Practice

Christine Beardwood founded The Beardwood Practice which is based in Stamford, Bourne & Spalding Lincolnshire, specialising in Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy, Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy & Medical Hypnotherapy.  Face to face session in my practice or online sessions with Zoom available.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses the clinically proven techniques of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming and combines them with trance to make important positive changes within a short period of time.  Resolving unwelcome habits and thought patterns at a subconscious level.  Treatments are confidential and personalised to each client as an individual and therapy is designed to your preferences, your personality and your individual needs.

Christine’s passion for the study of the human brain and its potential is at the heart of her interests which are centred on how the human brain operates and how to make the best of your lives, take control and live your life to your full potential.  Understanding the implications of stress and anxiety upon your life she uses her skills as a hypnotherapist to reduce stress and anxiety to overcome those particular problems.  Making transformations in your life by helping you to achieve your goals and seeing you move forward creating the life you want.

“Never let anxiety control you, take back control”

Neuroscience research is revealing the benefits of hypnosis and understands that while in trance our brains have access to the unconscious mind allowing thoughts, feelings, images, sensations and behaviour to become highlighted.  Trance allows access to certain brain waves associated with creativity, when in a hypnotic trance we are able to combine lateral and previously unconnected associations to forge new ideas.

Hypnosis is a natural, safe and gentle way to treat many conditions such as emotional, nervous and psychological problems.  It’s also a powerful tool for motivation and performing to your best potential either in sports, the arts, business or personal performance.  Neuroscience research tell us that by rehearsing and visualizing your goals performance is improved, just as much as physically performing.

There’s a lot of myths regarding hypnosis, a hypnotherapist can’t take control of your mind and while in trance you retain full control at all times including the ability to accept or reject a suggestion.  When in trance you are fully aware of your surroundings and you can’t be made to do anything that you would not consciously do.

Christine is an accomplished hypnotherapist, qualified in Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (DHP), the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) and Medical Hypnotherapy working within Hospitals and Doctors surgeries.  Christine continues to keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of hypnotherapy, psychology and neuroscience.

How to quit smoking for a healthier you

Hypnotherapy has the reputation for being the best way to quit smoking available, this is acknowledged by the British Medical Association. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help someone who is determined to quit smoking for good. Even a small habit of smoking a few cigarettes a day can have a big effect on both finances and health. Smoking really is a dying habit and The Beardwood Practice’s one off session, which lasts a couple of hours, can really cement permanent change whereby, with willpower, the client can leave The Beardwood Practice and simply not smoke again.

FACE  to FACE session in my practice or via ZOOM

Quitting smoking by working with a fully qualified and insured Solution Focused Hypnotherapy practitioner is the easy way to stop smoking as we work with a client to fully explain the psychology behind the habit and how we can stop smoking for good.

The stop smoking hypnotherapy session works with the practitioner explaining why the brain fools us into thinking it is acceptable to smoke. The hypnosis part of the stop smoking treatment is a key stage to cementing the change during which the client experiences around 45 minutes of hypnosis. During the hypnosis process the subconscious mind effectively “rewires” itself to help the person’s willpower and commitment to smoking cessation.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can also be used to help to take control over other aspects of our lives, ranging from stress management through to eating and even improving our confidence.

It’s a great time to sit down with a Solution Focused Hypnotherapy practitioner to see how you can get the best out of your life and what steps you can take, over a period of time, to realise your full potential.
