About me
Hello, I'm Ben.
I understand that the thought of finding help can be daunting.
As an Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapist I am qualified in a range of Psychotherapeutic approaches including Counselling as well as being able to develop a bespoke Hypnotherapeutic plan structured to suit your needs.
With the ability to draw on a range of techniques in a dedicated therapy space, I work to reduce the stress of change and free you to move towards the life you want.
Hypnosis is an established, natural and effective way to access the unconscious parts of your mind and make positive changes through verbal suggestion. Psychotherapy is a way of helping you understand why you do things and how to make positive changes to your behaviour. Counselling is form of Psychotherapy that gives you the space and time to work out how you can move forward in a healthy way. Combining all 3 fields allows us to work in the way that suits you best.
My aim is to make our next steps together as positive and stress free as they can be. At the Assisi Therapy space I offer a peaceful and private environment for us to focus on your issue without interference from the outside world.
Whether we are working face to face or online, I will always offer you a safe, therapeutic space full of understanding and free from judgement.
Our journey together starts with a free 15 minute telephone consultation.
This is where I find out about you and how you might need help. All being well, one hour sessions can take place in my consultation room or online, via confidential clinical video call software. Each session we have together is tailored to your specific need, rather than fitting you to a particular type of therapy.
Getting help can be a liberating and lasting experience and I will always work at the level and pace that is right for you. We will plan together and you will always be in control, whether it's Hypnosis, Psychotherapy or Counselling we work with.

Training, qualifications & experience
Having trained with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy and Counselling.

- Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) Registered
- Member of the National Society of Talking Therapies (NSTT).
Your safety and quality of therapeutic care are at the heart of what I offer. My training in Hypno-Psychotherapy, under the UKCP means I follow their professional and ethical guidance. I have regular UKCP accredited supervision from a highly experienced professional supervisor, so that our time together is always productive in the way that suits you best.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

The first step on your journey towards change is a free 15 minute telephone consultation which we can arrange a time that suits you.
Once we have discussed your problem and learned a little about how we can work together, we can arrange our first session either online or face to face at the Assisi Therapy consultation room.
- I charge £64 per hour session in both cases.

You may be looking for a Hypnotherapist and that is a great start. I am a graduate of the National College of Hypnosis & Psychotherapy -which basically means I am trained to use and promote the use of Hypnotherapy alongside a broad range of Psychotherapeutic tools.
Sometimes we might just work at a Hypnotherapeutic level, but we are also able to compliment that work with other techniques when they might better suit you.
