About me
Hi, I'm Amanda and thanks for reading my profile.
Not all hypnotherapy is the same so it is a great start to really know what you want out of it. I practise Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) which is a very positive, forward looking and relaxing experience. You will leave my sessions feeling calm and uplifted.
If you are fed up of talking and thinking about your problems, then this is the right therapy for you. I help you to move forward and to get where you want to be. We concentrate on building your confidence self esteem and to feel good about yourself. Getting back in control of our emotions and our lives helps us cope with what life throws at us.
I came into hypnotherapy after someone close to me became crippled with anxiety. It's awful to see how such a common condition can restrict a life. It was amazing and uplifting to watch as this person, along with some help, turned things around.
All sorts of unwanted emotions, conditions and habits can be successfully changed using solution focused hypnotherapy. All you need is a willingness. We concentrate on your strengths (you will have plenty) and build on the good things you have in your life.

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My Initial Consultation is a chance for us to get a good clear picture of how you are feeling at the moment and where you want to be instead. It's a chance for me to explain how our brains works, what it does to protect us when things may be experiences changes or we feel things are not going right for us.
I can explain more how solution focused hypnotherapy could help you in your current situation, and you can ask any questions you may and generally put your mind at rest. The session lasts a minimum of an hour.
All my initial consultations include a Hughes Hypnotherapy Relaxation Track for you to keep.
Session Prices are discounted by up to 12.5% if a bundle are booked. I offer discounts on bundles of 4 and 8.
Phobias may require a minimum of 4 sessions.
My Stop Smoking Package is £175 and is over 2 sessions. It also includes a relaxation track to keep and strategies for success.
