I'm a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, psychotherapist, supervisor and lecturer with more than 15 years' experience helping people move beyond anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, low confidence and the emotional challenges that stop them living the life they want.
I work exclusively online with clients across the UK, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and familiarity of your own environment, wherever that may be.
A different way of approaching therapy
Many people come to me expecting they'll need to spend months analysing the past or reliving painful experiences.
That's not how I work.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your mind works and use that knowledge to create meaningful change. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?", we explore what's keeping you stuck and, more importantly, how to help you move forwards.
You already have strengths, resilience and resources, even if they don't feel very accessible right now. My role is to help you reconnect with them.
Why this matters to me
Like many of my clients, I've experienced life's twists and turns. I've known success, grief, self-doubt, change and those moments when you wonder whether you've somehow lost yourself along the way.
Learning how the brain responds to stress didn't just change my career. It changed my life. It helped me understand that we aren't broken. Often, our minds are simply trying to protect us in ways that are no longer helpful.
That understanding is at the heart of everything I do.

Qualifications and Professional Experience
For more than 15 years, I've been helping people create positive, lasting change through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. During that time, I've supported people from all walks of life to overcome anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, low confidence, trauma, phobias and many of the emotional challenges that can leave life feeling harder than it needs to be.
Alongside my clinical practice, I'm committed to supporting high standards within the profession. I'm a lecturer, supervisor and assessor with CPHT, one of the UK's longest-established and most respected Solution Focused Hypnotherapy training organisations. I also deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training for qualified therapists and assess students completing the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma.
Teaching and supervising other therapists keeps me connected to current research, evolving best practice and the latest developments in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. It means my clients benefit not only from extensive clinical experience, but from a genuine commitment to continual learning and professional excellence.
My professional qualifications include:
• Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), accredited by NCFE and widely recognised as the benchmark qualification for professional hypnotherapists in the UK.
• Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH).
• Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills.
• Level 5 Certificate in Hypnotherapy Supervision (NCFE-accredited).
• NLP Practitioner.
I undertake regular clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development throughout the year to ensure my knowledge and practice remain current. My ongoing training includes neuroscience, positive psychology, Solution Focused practice, trauma-informed working and other evidence-informed approaches that help me provide the highest standard of care to every client.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I work exclusively online, making therapy accessible wherever you are in the UK. Many clients tell me they appreciate being able to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of their own home, without the time and stress of travelling.

Our initial consultation is a relaxed, no-obligation conversation. It's an opportunity for you to tell me a little about what's been happening, ask any questions you may have and find out how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy could help. I'll explain how I work, what you can expect from our sessions and, together, we'll decide whether we're the right fit.
To reserve your consultation, I ask for a refundable holding deposit. If you decide to begin therapy, the deposit will be deducted from your first session. If you decide not to continue, it will be refunded in full.

Most people begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and create lasting change. As therapy progresses, we'll review your progress together and tailor the frequency of sessions to suit your goals and circumstances.

Hypnotherapy is increasingly covered by private health insurance providers. If you have medical insurance, it's worth checking your policy to see whether your cover includes hypnotherapy.

Clients often ask whether online hypnotherapy really works. In my experience, it works exceptionally well. Many people feel more comfortable talking from their own home, surrounded by familiar things, without the pressure of travelling or sitting in an unfamiliar therapy room. For those with busy lives, caring responsibilities or neurodivergent needs, online therapy can offer a level of flexibility and comfort that's difficult to achieve elsewhere.

Will I have to talk about my past?
No. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is forward-looking. We focus on helping you understand how your brain works, build resilience and create meaningful change without repeatedly reliving painful experiences.
Can online hypnotherapy really be as effective as meeting in person?
Yes. In fact, many of my clients prefer it. Being in your own environment often helps you feel more relaxed and comfortable, making it easier to engage fully in the process. It also means there's no travelling, parking or rushing to appointments.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. During your free consultation, we'll discuss your goals and I'll give you an honest idea of what I think is likely to help. Most people see me between 6-10/12 times but many people notice positive changes from the first session onwards.
Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No. Clinical hypnosis is a naturally relaxed state of focused attention. You'll remain aware of what's happening throughout the session and you can't be made to do or say anything against your wishes.
