About me

Are anxiety, panic attacks or sleep problems starting to take over?

Perhaps your mind won’t switch off, you’re constantly overthinking, experiencing panic attacks, or lying awake at night despite feeling exhausted. Or maybe there’s something you know you want to change- a fear or phobia, smoking, your relationship with food, or a habit you can’t seem to break.

Hello, I’m Jess, a qualified and accredited Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I offer face-to-face hypnotherapy from my practice in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, as well as online sessions across the UK.

With over 15 years’ experience working within the mental health sector with adults and children, my approach is warm, down-to-earth and personalised to you.

I commonly work with people experiencing:

Anxiety, worry and overthinking
Panic attacks
Sleep problems
Stress and overwhelm
Phobias and fears
Confidence and self-esteem
Weight management and eating habits
Smoking cessation
Gut-directed hypnotherapy, including IBS
Unwanted habits and behaviours
Trauma and PTSD

As a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I can draw on my wider therapeutic training where appropriate. This means we can consider not only the symptom you want to change, but also the thoughts, triggers and patterns that may be contributing to it .

What is hypnotherapy like?

Hypnotherapy isn’t about being asleep or losing control. You remain aware and in control throughout.

Using a deeply relaxed and focused state, we work therapeutically with thoughts, behaviours and responses that may have become difficult to change through conscious effort alone.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Your sessions are tailored around you, your experiences and what you would like to achieve.

Specialist support

I offer gut-directed hypnotherapy, including support for IBS, and a dedicated four-session smoking cessation programme- The Altogether Smoke Free Method.

I also have additional training in trauma-informed practice and am trained in the Rewind Technique developed by Dr David Muss for trauma and PTSD. Rewind is non-intrusive and does not require you to describe your traumatic experience to me in detail.

Face-to-face or online

You can attend in person at my practice in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, or work with me online from anywhere in the UK.

Whichever you choose, you’ll receive the same personalised approach.

Not sure if hypnotherapy is right for you?

I offer a free 20-minute introductory telephone consultation before you book.

It’s simply an opportunity to tell me a little about what’s going on, ask questions and find out whether hypnotherapy- and working with me- feels right for you.

There’s no pressure to book afterwards.

If you’d like to find out more, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
