RTT and hypnotherapy for money blocks

Money blocks are subconscious beliefs or attitudes related to money, wealth, and success. Through my experience as a hypnotherapist, I've discovered that these blocks often operate below our conscious awareness.

Understanding the impact of money blocks

Consequently, money blocks impact our lives significantly, yet we might not fully grasp their influence or know how to address them. Many people feel they aren't reaching their full potential, which can be incredibly frustrating, especially when we recognise that we're hindering our own progress.

While we consciously aspire to achieve success, deep-seated unconscious beliefs can create barriers that prevent us from getting to our goals. These beliefs can be based on fears that will stop us from really going for what we want. These fears might include a fear of failure, a fear of success, or concerns about how others will perceive our achievements.

At a deeper level, we may harbour feelings of unworthiness or a sense that we don't deserve a happy, successful life.

These limiting beliefs can halt our progress before we even start. Negative beliefs about money and wealth can also lead to self-sabotage, undermining our success.

Where do these limiting beliefs come from?

Limiting beliefs typically form in our subconscious minds during early childhood. As young children, we absorb information from our environment, including from parents and other influential figures, when our subconscious minds are highly receptive. We then make decisions and form beliefs without the benefit of our conscious, rational minds. While some of these beliefs can be positive, the negative ones become limiting.

The analytical conscious mind, which processes and rationalises information, begins to develop between the ages of five and eight. Prior to this, the subconscious mind acts like a sponge, soaking up all the information it encounters.

This is why the words we say to young children are so impactful. Support, love, and encouragement can shape a child's self-worth and character, as everything they see, hear, feel, and experience is stored in the subconscious. Much of this mental programming remains and influences our decisions and actions throughout our lives.

How negative beliefs about money develop

If you face challenges with money, such as not earning enough, struggling to save, or constantly worrying about finances, reflect on the beliefs you acquired as a child.

You might be unconsciously following patterns learned early in life. Consider if you heard statements like:

  • “Wealthy people are selfish and greedy.”
  • “It's wrong to want more than just enough.”
  • "If you earn more, others might be jealous.”
  • “It’s superficial to want money.”
  • “Rich people are unhappy and alone.”
  • “If you have money, others will take it, so why bother making it.”
  • “If you earn good money, most of it goes to taxes anyway.”
  • “Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
  • “Money is the root of all evil!”
  • “Wealthy people aren't intelligent.”

Alternatively, you might have observed behaviours that led you to believe that making money is a struggle, there’s never enough, or you must work extremely hard just to pay the bills.

Beliefs about self-worth and money are also common. Do you ever think you're not experienced, confident, or good enough to ask for more money, a promotion, or to market your services effectively?

Do you catch yourself saying, "I'm bad with money," or "I avoid looking at my bank statements"?

Unconscious self-sabotage

These limiting beliefs can cause us to sabotage our success or earning potential and also how we deal with and manage our finances, because our thoughts and beliefs influence our feelings, and our feelings drive our behaviours.

Since our actions determine our results in life, our thoughts ultimately affect our outcomes. Changing our beliefs leads to different thoughts, which then influence our actions and behaviours, resulting in improved life outcomes.

The good news: Beliefs can be changed!

Through hypnotherapy and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), we can communicate directly with the subconscious mind to identify and understand the origins of these blocks.

This understanding is profoundly liberating and healing, as it helps us realise that the belief is outdated and likely not ours to begin with.

This awareness can help us to let go of the limiting belief and choose a positive alternative that supports our success.
