About me
Paul is one of London's leading Hypnotherapists with a special interest in anxiety. He has also received training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Mindfulness as well as many other therapies and differing approaches such as Transactional Analysis (TA). Paul is one of the few Hypnotherapists to also teach Mindfulness as a sound, practical approach to stress management and anxiety reduction.
He has three Hypnotherapy and CBT Therapy practice locations: in Radlett in Hertfordshire, Highgate in North London and South Woodford in East London. Same-day appointments are possible, and an initial phone consultation for Hypnotherapy and CBT Therapy and mindfulness training can be arranged at short notice without cost.
Although he specialises in anxiety, Paul also sees people with many issues such as depression; stress management; phobia elimination; addictions and psychosexual problems. He provides a smoking cessation programme. Paul also runs the highly successful Hypnodieting Weight Loss Programme which he was instrumental in developing. This one-to-one technique focuses on behavioural and lifestyle change to bring about natural and lasting weight loss. The combination of CBT Therapy, Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy provides a sound basis for learning how to regain control in all the important areas of your life.
Paul features in programmes on BBC2 as well as numerous Radio sessions, and is a guest lecturer at Roehampton University. He is the go-to specialist for expert comment for print and web-based media.

Member organisations

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Paul Levrant originated and developed the Hypnodieting weight loss Programme. This system for weight loss and weight control is based on Hypnotherapy and CBT Therapy (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) principles for changing long-standing and self-destructive habits.
During the Hypnodieting weight loss Programme you develop an understanding of how bad eating habits may have started, and then through gentle hypnotic and behavioural techniques you learn to change your emotional relationship with food and eating. This leads to natural and sustainable long-term weight loss.
Rather than offering a "quick fix" for weight loss, the Hypnodieting weight loss Programme is designed to promote a long-lasting and highly beneficial change in life style and attitude. During the Programme you may also experience many other benefits besides weight loss, including increased self esteem and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Paul is happy to see clients at his Hypnotherapy and CBT Therapy practices in the City of London, Highgate (North London), South Woodford (East London) and in Radlett (Hertfordshire).
