About me

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Thierry. I'm a hypnotherapist specialising in anxiety, phobias and depression. I have also experience working with a wide range of conditions.

You might feel stuck and unsure about how to move forward with your problem. If you do, just read on to find out how you can improve how you feel using hypnotherapy and other tools.

You might be surprised at how many areas hypnotherapy can help you with, but here are a few common examples:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety before they turn into panic attacks
  • Manage fears and phobias
  • Harness your fear of public speaking and impostor syndrome
  • Boost your confidence and self-esteem
  • Quit smoking
  • Lose weight
  • Lower your perception of pain (chronic or acute)
  • Improve your sleep

And many more.

The missing link
Sometimes, working only with our conscious mind is not sufficient to change how we feel about ourselves.
Have you wondered what is the missing link that creates deep change for us? Hypnotherapists know that deep change happens at the unconscious level, for instance a person never chooses consciously to become addicted to chocolate; likewise, someone with a phobia of spiders never made the conscious decision to get themselves into a panic state whenever they see one.

How hypnotherapy can help you
A lot of our issues are sitting in our subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy by-passes our conscious mind, who most of the time is too critical about ourselves, and especially our ability to change and improve our life.

Hypnotherapy can help with depression, stress, anxiety, fears and phobias
Hypnotherapy can help to motivate us to do things, which is great for depression, where one of the main issues is this feeling of immobilisation or being stuck, unable to do even the most basic things such as wash or go the shops.
Hypnotherapy also generates a sense of deep relaxation, which is great if you suffer from acute stress or anxiety or even panic attacks. Fears and phobias are a type of anxiety, I usually combine hypnotherapy with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, aka Tapping), breathing techniques, mindfulness, and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) to help you harness these conditions.

How about low confidence, self-esteem and impostor syndrome?
All of these are linked to how you feel about yourself and the world around you. Hypnotherapy works by boosting your self-image and reducing the anxiety you hold about various situations, such as speaking in public, doing something you’ve never done before or something you don’t feel totally confident about. If you want to be a more confident person or enjoy higher self-esteem, hypnotherapy can help you project yourself into a more confident version of yourself for example.

Can you help with weight loss?
I work with people who are not happy about their weight or the shape of their body. Saying 'no' consciously to your favourite sugary or fatty food is not so easy, I can support you to become more resilient and achieve your weight goal. Very often weight issues are linked to self-esteem and confidence. We can work together to help you become a more confident person too.

Is it possible to quit smoking with hypnotherapy?
Remember what I said about deep changes happening at the unconscious level? Smoking is certainly one of the hardest habits to get rid of. Hypnotherapy can help you by tackling this habit precisely where it started: in your subconscious mind. People don't choose consciously to become addicted to tobacco. Clinical hypnosis works with your subconscious mind to help kick your smoking habit exactly where it started. Of course, you have to want it at the conscious level too! I can also support you with techniques to deal with cravings.

Any other conditions hypnotherapy can help with?
Yes, hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues. In any case, do contact me to discuss your specific needs. I listen to everyone and always do a free 30-minute consultation session.
