About me
I work with people who are struggling not because they are weak, broken, or resistant to change — but because their nervous system learned, very early on, how to survive.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, I specialise in working with complex emotional, psychological, and somatic difficulties rooted in developmental trauma, attachment disruption, abuse, and chronic stress. Many of the people I work with have already “tried everything” — talking therapies, medication, self-help — yet still feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected from their body, or unable to move forward in life.
My work is not one-size-fits-all. I take a dynamic, highly individualised approach, shaped around you — your history, your nervous system, your patterns, and your goals. For some clients, this means focusing very much on the present: how symptoms are being maintained now, and how to create change without revisiting the past. For others, careful exploration of earlier experiences is essential — and when we do this, it is done safely, respectfully, and at a pace your system can tolerate.
I create a calm, contained, and psychologically safe space where difficult material can emerge without overwhelm. This is particularly important for clients with histories of:
- Childhood emotional, physical, or sexual abuse
- Attachment trauma and relational difficulties
- Chronic anxiety, panic, or shutdown
- Somatic symptoms (including IBS, chronic tension, fatigue, or unexplained pain)
- Shame, low self-worth, or identity confusion
- Trauma that does not respond to standard talking therapies
My work is informed by developmental psychology, attachment theory, trauma neuroscience, and nervous-system regulation, rather than surface-level symptom management.
I integrate several advanced, evidence-based approaches, including:
- Clinical Hypnotherapy — used not as suggestion or control, but as a way of working directly with unconscious processes, memory, and the body’s threat system
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) — a globally recognised trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess overwhelming or unresolved experiences
- Eye-movement and bilateral stimulation techniques — used flexibly to support emotional processing and nervous-system recalibration
- Somatic and body-based approaches — particularly important where symptoms are held physically rather than cognitively
This work often leads to changes that feel organic rather than forced: reduced anxiety, a calmer body, clearer thinking, improved relationships, and a stronger sense of self.
I work extensively with anxiety and anxiety-based conditions, including panic attacks, phobias, PTSD, OCD patterns, social anxiety, and stress-related physical symptoms. I do not view anxiety as something “wrong” with you — but as a learned response based on life experience that can be updated and released.
Many clients are relieved to discover that their symptoms make sense — and that they are changeable.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
I am also proud to be part of a medically governed Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy clinic, offering treatment for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, chronic anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma.
KAP is not a quick fix and it is not for everyone. Used carefully, ethically, and within a structured psychotherapeutic framework, ketamine can temporarily reduce rigid patterns in the brain, allowing deeper emotional processing, insight, and integration. For some clients, it opens a doorway where nothing else has worked.
This work is conducted in a safe, controlled, and professional setting, with careful screening, preparation, and integration.
Who I Work Best With
I am best suited to clients who:
- Want meaningful, lasting change rather than surface solutions
- Are open to working with both mind and body
- Value safety, depth, and clinical integrity
- Are willing to engage in a collaborative therapeutic process
If you are unsure whether I am the right person for you, I’m happy to have an honest conversation. If I’m not the best fit, I will say so — and where appropriate, refer you on.
I take people’s lives, histories, and vulnerabilities seriously. I work efficiently, but never at the expense of safety or care. My aim is not to “fix” you, but to help you reclaim agency, stability, and a life that feels worth living.
If you’re ready to explore how change might be possible for you, I invite you to get in touch for an informal discussion.
