About me

Welcome, I am Merrenna,

I am the lead therapist of Beneficial Change, delivering Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy online to clients all over the world.

I specialise in Anxiety and Stress disorders particularly in the areas of:

  • Menopause
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Sleep
  • Social Anxiety
  • Perinatal Anxiety
  • Postnatal Anxiety
  • Tokophobia ( fear of birth) and Birth trauma

I help clients manage and overcome the many symptoms that these can bring.

I also work in supporting people through life changes, such as loss, bereavement and life adjustments in career, relationship as well as just maintaining their ongoing mental health.

Beneficial Change uses Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, a safe and gentle process, as it focuses on the present and positive version of the future. The therapy which combines psychotherapy, neuroscience brain-based therapies and hypnosis, has good results as a very effective treatment for stress, anxiety disorders.

How Does it Work?

Firstly there is a brief consultation to discuss your desired outcome and learn more about the therapy. This is followed by Initial Diagnostic Consultation ( 1 hour)  to cover the science and medical aspects, to determine the treatment and number of sessions.

Treatment durations vary between 4 - 8 plus,  which are around 55 minutes in length and involve goal setting and relaxation trance. There is also an audio to listen to between sessions.

Currently all sessions are completed either On-Line, using technologies such as Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, Signal or at a suitable clinic location either Berkhamsted or NW3.
