About me

What if you could turn the stress you’re feeling right now into greater clarity, calm and confidence, so you feel more in control of the challenges life and work throw at you? I’m Liza, and as a solutions-focused hypnotherapist, I can help you relieve the overwhelm and reconnect with your strengths, so you can really shine and get more out of life in a way that feels right for you.

Many of the clients who come to me are dealing with anxieties around fears and phobias, including fear of flying, heights or deep water, alongside stress, overwhelm and the emotional impact of health challenges and unhealthy habits such as smoking or vaping.

Using trauma-informed hypnotherapy, Hypno-EMDR and evidence-based behavioural and cognitive approaches including desensitisation techniques, ego strengthening, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), I help clients gently separate anxious thoughts from the emotional reactions attached to them, helping retrain both the emotional and physiological responses to fear, stress and unhelpful habits. This creates space for calmer thinking, greater confidence and lasting behavioural change.

Sessions are always collaborative and adapted to the individual, helping clients feel actively involved in the process rather than simply being treated. Clients often tell me they feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions and physical stress responses, even in situations that once felt overwhelming. They describe being able to travel with confidence again, enjoy experiences they previously avoided, sleep better, manage stress more calmly and feel freer in everyday life.

One client who completed my Flying with Confidence programme shared that they now felt “far better equipped to deal with anxious thoughts” and able to “reach a calmness far quicker than before.” They finally felt free to travel, visit loved ones and no longer feel restricted by fear.

Clients who quit smoking with my hypnotherapy support have described feeling healthier, calmer, more energised and proud of finally breaking a habit that no longer aligned with the life they wanted to live. One client shared that they felt “more relaxed and better able to deal with life’s challenges,” while also sleeping better, eating more healthily and enjoying the freedom of a smoke-free life. When they they recognised how far they were prepared to go in order to smoke and how deeply this conflicted with who they truly were, quitting became far easier and more natural.

I also support clients navigating the ongoing  mental, emotional and physical impact of chronic illness, recovery and persistent pain. One client recovering from breast cancer and spinal surgery described arriving at sessions feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and physically depleted. Over our six weeks together, she shared that she felt calmer, more settled and more like herself again, with a growing sense of control over both her pain and emotional wellbeing.

She described the experience of working together as feeling “supported, cared for and completely safe,” explaining that learning to slow down, receive support and reconnect with herself had been “a massive transformation.” She also spoke about feeling more capable of managing her mindset, stress levels and self-care outside of sessions, saying that each session felt like “a reset button” for her nervous system.

Others have shared how overcoming fears of heights or deep water allowed them to fully enjoy walking holidays, sailing trips and experiences they once believed were out of reach. One client described the difference in their confidence on hill walks and sailing holidays as “incredible,” sharing that they were finally able to embrace and enjoy experiences that fear had previously overshadowed.

What matters most to me is that our work feels supportive, collaborative and tailored to you. Clients often comment on feeling listened to, understood and actively involved in shaping sessions around what works best for them. Many also share how empowering it feels to leave sessions with practical tools, greater self-awareness and a renewed sense of confidence in their ability to cope with life’s challenges.

How I work

Hypnotherapy allows us to gently quieten the busy, analytical part of your that overthinks, worries and tries to stay in control.

This creates space to work with the subconscious, where patterns such as anxiety, fears, habits and stress responses are held.

In this calm and focused state, change often feels more natural and less effortful.

You remain fully aware and in control throughout. It’s a collaborative, evidence-based approach designed to help you regain control in a more effective and sustainable way.

What can I help with

I support clients with a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Stress, anxiety and burnout
  • Overthinking and difficulty switching off
  • Sleep issues and insomnia
  • Confidence and performance at work
  • Navigating chronic health conditions or long-term illness while maintaining professional responsibilities
  • Chronic pain management
  • Fears and phobias, including:
    Fear of flying
    Fear of heights
    Fear of water
  • Smoking and vaping cessation

Many of the people I work with are balancing demanding careers, personal responsibilities and sometimes ongoing health concerns. This can create a constant underlying level of stress that is hard to fully switch off.

Over time, that can affect how you think, feel and respond to everyday situations.

This is where our work together can make a meaningful difference.

My approach

My work is solution-focused, holistic and tailored entirely to you.

I combine clinical hypnotherapy with evidence-based approaches, including cognitive and behavioural techniques, Hypno-EMDR, mindfulness and relaxation practices.

Where appropriate, I also integrate elements of movement and breathwork, drawing on my background in yoga and restorative practices.

This allows us to work not just with the mind, but with the nervous system as a whole to support deeper, more sustainable change.

Working together

Every programme I offer is bespoke.

We begin with a confidential, in-depth consultation to understand what’s been going on for you and what you’d like to change.

From there, I create a personalised plan, typically over a series of sessions, with additional support such as self-hypnosis recordings and practical tools to use between sessions.

Sessions are available online across the UK, and in person in London and Essex.

Next step

If you’re ready to feel calmer, think more clearly, and respond to life with greater confidence and ease, it would be my pleasure to support you.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory consultation. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to explore what you need and whether this feels like the right approach for you.
