Liz Westbrook MHEB Dip.Clin.Hyp Dip.Thyp.
Hypnosis helps you enter a relaxed, trance like state in which you are able to respond positively to suggestions. You are not asleep, you are in a state of heightened awareness. Most people experience hypnosis as a deeply relaxing and pleasurable experience.
If you’ve decided to stop smoking or you’re committed to changing your shape, hypnotherapy can often help… however, it can also assist with many more of life’s challenges.
Aside from quitting smoking and weight management, I have experience in working with many clients who have had a range of issues - including lacking self confidence, dealing with stress and anxiety as well as a variety of phobias and life-limiting issues.
I frequently use Hypnotherapy and EMDR (where appropriate) in conjunction with my NLP training, thus providing a rounded service.
Training, qualifications & experience
Prior to training as a Career and Life Coach I spent over thirty years working in theatre and television, and am particularly adept at understanding the specific stresses encountered by talented people in a highly-charged creative environment, as well as being experienced in working with people from all walks of life.
I am an Accredited NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner, as well as a Licensed NLP Coach.
I have a diploma in Performance Coaching from Newcastle College, and qualified in 2013 as a Clinical Hypnotherapist through the Medical Hypnotherapy Exam Board.
I am a Professional Member of ANLP International CIC.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
If you have been diagnosed or suspect you may have one of the medical conditions starred above, you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies or treatments.
Following an initial meeting - usually free of charge and in a neutral setting, to make sure that we are happy to work together - my fees are £50 per session. Sessions normally last about 90 minutes.
I am often able to work at a client's home - providing it is relatively quiet and within the general Leeds/Bradford/Ilkley area.
