About me
Are you ready to finally feel different?
Maybe anxiety has become your default setting. Perhaps you're carrying grief, struggling with sleep, or held back by a version of yourself you're desperate to leave behind. You've probably tried to think your way through it, and found that willpower alone only gets you so far.
That's not a personal failing. It's simply because the patterns that keep us stuck live beneath conscious thought, in the subconscious mind. And that's precisely where hypnotherapy works.
My approach
I'm Laura Alexander, an integrative clinical hypnotherapist working with clients in South London, Central London, and online. I help people break free from anxiety, low confidence, grief, phobias, insomnia, unwanted habits, and the deep-rooted beliefs that quietly run and limit their lives.
I am passionate about helping people to achieve mental and physical wellbeing. I enjoy taking the time to get to know clients and fully understand their situation and goals so I can create unique and effective treatment plans. Clients consistently describe feeling genuinely heard, safe, and respected in our sessions.
What makes my approach different is that I don't use hypnotherapy in isolation; I integrate it with Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Inner Child work and other psychotherapeutic techniques, drawing on whichever combination serves you best. Every treatment plan I create is unique, because you are.
Clients consistently describe feeling genuinely heard, safe, and respected in our sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience
- Diploma in Integrative Evidence-based Clinical Hypnotherapy & Mind Body Health Practice (PDHyp).
- Registered with General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
