About me
I support clients with issues including anxiety and stress, stopping smoking, alcohol, weight management, pain management, phobias, psychosexual issues or intimacy related concerns for men and women, sports performance, health challenges and confidence.
I offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space using a blend of hypnotherapy, coaching, mindfulness, NLP, and EFT techniques to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.
I am a qualified hypnotherapist and personal performance coach, and a former Royal Navy Physical Training Instructor and Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor, with over 22 years’ experience supporting people through physical, emotional and psychological challenges, including working within Defence Primary Healthcare rehabilitation for 12 years.
My approach is warm, down to earth and always tailored to you as an individual. I understand that people are often carrying far more than others realise, and that struggles with anxiety, confidence, stress, habits, relationships or health can gradually begin affecting many areas of life.
Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues affecting thoughts, emotions, behaviours, habits, confidence, wellbeing and performance.
Some of the areas I commonly work with include:
• Anxiety and overthinking
• Stress and feeling overwhelmed
• Health anxiety
• Sleep difficulties and relaxation
• Phobias and fears
• Smoking cessation
• Pain management and health related challenges
• Sexual and psychosexual issues
• Performance anxiety and intimacy related concerns
• Sports performance and mental preparation
• Confidence and self esteem issues
• Motivation and habit change
• Feeling stuck, trapped or unfulfilled
• Life direction and decision making
This list is not exhaustive. Hypnotherapy can be so helpful for many other challenges and goals, even if they aren't listed here.
Psychosexual Hypnotherapy
This is an area of particular interest and I have completed additional training in Psychosexual Hypnotherapy and sexual related issues, supporting clients where difficulties are psychological or emotional in nature rather than caused by an underlying medical condition. Where appropriate, clients should first seek medical advice to rule out any physical causes.
Sexual difficulties can affect both individuals and couples, and may involve emotional, psychological, relationship or physical factors that impact intimacy, desire, confidence, performance or overall sexual satisfaction.
I support clients experiencing issues such as performance anxiety, erectile difficulties, premature ejaculation, Anorgasmia, fear and anxiety around intimacy, low desire, lack of interest, relationship difficulties, negative beliefs around sex, stress-related sexual difficulties, Vaginismus, and menopause-related changes affecting intimacy and sexual wellbeing.
I understand that these can be very personal and sensitive issues to talk about, and I aim to provide a calm, safe and confidential space where clients feel comfortable speaking openly and without judgement. Sessions are entirely professional, confidential and non-contact in nature.
My work often involves helping clients understand and work through the beliefs, thought patterns and emotional responses that may be affecting how they feel day to day, whether that relates to confidence, relationships, work, health and wellbeing, intimacy or personal fulfilment.
Sessions are available online or in person at the Plympton Therapy Rooms, depending on what suits you best.
I offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes, absolutely no obligation, where we can talk through what is going on for you, what you would like to change, and whether I am the right person to support you.
Send me a message if this feels right for you. We can have a chat to start off with and see how you feel after that.
