About me

Hi I'm Iona, I'm a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and I work with clients across all ages from as young as 10 years old. I have helped clients to overcome various issues from sleep (lack of or too much), anxiety, low mood, lack of confidence, OCD, fears and phobias, panic attacks and stopping smoking.

I work with clients both online (so you can be in the comfort of your own home) and face to face. My initial consultation is free and I'm also always happy to have a quick chat over the phone before you decide if this type of therapy is for you.

I absolutely love what I do. It’s so rewarding, watching the progression in every client and seeing the transformation in their lives. I don’t go back into people’s past, it’s all about focusing on identifying solutions and positive steps so a client can reach their preferred future.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained to become a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist with CPHT (the UK’s leading Hypnotherapy school). I have both the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD)  (only 20% of hypnotherapists have the HPD qualification).

I’m fully insured, have an enhanced DBS and am a member of both the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and as such abide by their strict code of ethics, so anybody who contacts me will be treated in strict confidence.

Member organisations

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

NCH
National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)

The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.

There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

AfSFH
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
