About me

If you are looking for help to improve any aspect of your life, hypnotherapy is the key that can unlock your huge potential. I am also a trained CBT counselor if you prefer not to be hypnotized

Using the simple but effective power of relaxation, you can gain control of your life and overcome the many issues that can prevent us living a creative and fulfilling life.

Whether you are concerned about stress or anxieties or you have a fear or phobia, I can help you build coping strategies that will totally alleviate you of these issues.

If you wish to lose weight, stop smoking or break a habit of a lifetime, I will work with you to achieve your objectives in a professional and pleasant setting that will help you enjoy the whole process.

Increasing your self-esteem and building your confidence so that you can set about those things in life you have often been too frightened to tackle can be achieved in a simple treatment plan built around your needs.

Hypnotherapy uses your natural mind and body functions, allowing you to remain totally in control and address the issues and concerns of everyday life.

I am a licensed trainer for the UK Academy of therapeutic arts and sciences and have my own training school in Botley.

I am a qualified solution focused supervisor and offer supervision to hypnotherapists and bereavement counsellors.

Please contact me for an initial consultation and I will guarantee confidentiality and ensure you have the time and space to fully explore the options available to you.

Further information

All of the following issues can be treated simply and effectively by hypnotherapy:

Anxiety - Being anxious about something can really restrict your life and often it is actually the fear of doing something that is really the issue.

Stress - Life can be very stressful and this can come from work or family or circumstance beyond your control.

Phobias - Having a fear of something irrational can be very stressful and can cause stress and anxiety.

Habits - Many people around you will be aware of your irritating habits when often you are not even aware yourself that you bite your nails or have a bad habit.

Fear of Flying or Heights - Tackle your fear of flying which restricts your social life or even prevents you from carrying out your business. The thought of flying may bring you out in a panic attack or cause weeks or months of anxiety. Similarly your whole life may be affected by this irrational fear of heights or unprotected edges on bridges.

Self-esteem and Confidence - Increase your confidence and build your self-esteem so you can tackle those tasks or situations you usually avoid like meeting people or going to interviews.

Whatever your issues, Ian will spend time with you to establish the cause and work with you using relaxing hypnotherapy to effect a cure. Whatever your issues, Ian will spend time with you to establish the cause and work with you using relaxing hypnotherapy to effect a long lasting cure.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I usually work on the 1st floor but can swap rooms to work on the ground floor by arrangement
