About me

I qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training, achieving a Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma. Helping others to achieve their potential has always been my biggest driver and it was this desire that led me to pursue a career that can help unlock an individual's true potential and the best versions of themselves.

In addition to being a hypnotherapist, I am also an experienced secondary school teacher, putting me in a uniquely qualified position to support teenagers and young people with the vast array of challenges that they face. As well as the ever present pressures caused by examinations, I believe the effects of the pandemic as well as the turmoil caused by social media in recent years continues to hit our young people hardest. I have seen a worrying increase in students suffering with mental health challenges of varying degrees and feel it is important for these to be recognised and supported as early as possible. Despite the many pressures put on young people, I find them to be boundlessly resilient and incredibly responsive to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.

I have undertaken hypnotherapy for myself at two different times in my life; once as a young adult, to help me overcome social anxieties, and more recently to help with self-esteem and work/life balance. I know first-hand how effective hypnotherapy can be and I am always so happy to see the wonderful strides forward my clients take.

In addition to my hypnotherapy qualification I am now  continuing my studies further by taking the Psychology of Education MSc at University College London (UCL) this year.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Over the years I have work with many children and adults with ADHD and Autism. My experience in teaching and further study in Psychology of Education gives me a broad understanding of these conditions and challenges they can present in all areas of life.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

If required, there is a wheelchair accessible room that I can use for sessions, however, this room is different from my regular consulting room so you must let me know this will be needed prior to booking your first session.
