About me

Is it time for change? I can help you.

I have an academic background in psychology and have always been fascinated by the way the mind works. It was actually my own positive experience of therapy some ten years ago that really inspired me to want to do this work. It was transformational and I knew that I wanted to make it my vocation, so I decided to train as a hypnotherapist.

I’ve been in successful private practice since 2016 and every day I get up excited and motivated to see the positive changes my clients make. I have a passion for learning and development and regularly undertake further training to ensure that I have the best tools at my disposal to help you achieve your goals in therapy.

Whatever you’re struggling with, I promise you my total commitment to help you achieve the change you want.

Why Hypnotherapy?

When you are struggling to achieve some sort of change, whether it’s a feeling or a habit, whether it’s something you want more of, like confidence, or less of, like anxiety, the problem is that the change you want doesn’t fit with the established program in your mind.

Let’s think of a couple of examples. If you want to stop smoking, the problem is that your mind thinks you get something from it that you can’t be without, so when you try to stop, it will resist with all its might and send you massive cravings. If you are struggling to be free from anxiety, the problem is that your mind thinks you to need the anxiety to avoid vulnerability and danger. So, the surprising thing is that there’s always a positive intention behind the program, no matter how strange that seems. It’s in that knowledge though, that the solution you’re looking for lies.

Problem programming can happen as a result of a number of different things, like trauma, impacted self-esteem, conditioning and the problem having once been a solution that worked for you at the time. It can feel like a battle raging within your own mind. However, because of how hypnotherapy works, you can change that.

All your programming exists in your unconscious mind. This is where your view of yourself and all your drives and feelings come from. The issue is that you have no waking access to it, or any meaningful control over it. If we had conscious control over our program, no one would smoke, no one would feel anxious when there is no danger, and phobias would be easily eradicated with a single thought.

With your willingness, I can use deep relaxation hypnosis techniques to access your unconscious mind and deliver appealing alternative suggestions, all specifically tailored to you and to your objectives.

Online Working

You may feel that you would prefer to work with me remotely. That’s absolutely fine.  All I ever need is your commitment. Sometimes the home environment can enable you to relax more easily and I’m happy to facilitate that.

So, whatever the change you want, just pick up the phone or message me.

My results speak for themselves:

I had shoulder pain for three years and in that time have been constantly swallowing painkillers. You used a technique that worked like magic! Still pain-free four weeks later.  Thank you! S.S.

Dan has a wonderful therapy style. I feel at ease in his presence from start to finish. Highly recommend!!! L.B.

Using NLP he took negative memories from my past and to my absolute astonishment, I had to keep searching my mind to check but the situation surrounding them is so vague, it’s like they never even happened. S.C

Excellent therapy service! Definitely recommend. K.T.

I had been smoking, on and off, for 20 years. I’d had hypnosis before with slight results but always gone back. Dan performed both hypnosis and NLP on me and I can happily say I have not had a cigarette for 17 days. Something that astounded me, I’ve saved £153 in 2 and a half weeks!! Thank you Dan!! C.L.

Thank you Dan, I am truly grateful to be guided to have a couple of sessions with you. The shift and change I have experienced is tremendous! I like your approach, would recommend you to anyone. N.B.

Thank you so much! I actually slept this avo. No idea how you did that in less than half an hour. V.B. (Severe pain)
