Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH, HPD)

About me

Hi, I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist (DSFH, HPD)

I first encountered hypnotherapy for myself back in 2017 when I sought therapy during a difficult period. The sessions were a mixture of psychotherapy and hypnosis which helped to focus on the solution before gently being guided into hypnosis where I was able to process all the information discussed during the sessions.

Fast forward 7 years and I decided to train in what I can describe as a realistic, achievable, and successful approach to therapy.

Helping you tackle anxiety (many different forms), I can work with you to get to a place in yourself that helps you to feel much calmer and more relaxed, giving you more space in your life to focus on what is important to you.

Anxiety, low mood, unwanted habits, pain management, weight management, issues with sleeping, public speaking, phobias (different types) and smoking cessation are just a few of the symptoms that I can help assist and guide you to help gain back control over what has been bothering you.

I offer a solution focused approach, whereby you or myself will not focus on the problem or the past. We will work to focus on your ideal solution so that you can gain a more achievable outcome that will help you to feel much calmer and relaxed in the present.

Training, qualifications & experience

Solution Focused hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the nationally accredited (NCFE) Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD)

I have a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)

200 + hours of face to face practice was achieved and I have also completed the nationally accredited (NCFE) Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) which is a completed portfolio. This shows theoretical evidence that backs up the practice work that was achieved with clients. This totals to around 450 learning hours, that include the theory and practice of solution focused hypnotherapy.

The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Although I am not trained in hypnobirthing as a separate qualification, I am able to help guide a person to handle the stress and anxiety around the birth of their child, so they are able to feel more in control and relaxed and they can enjoy the experience of pregnancy and child birth.

I am also able to help relieve unwanted anxiety and reduce stress during the experience of trying for a baby.
