About me
Hypnotherapy, EMDR & Integrative Therapy
I work with people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that don’t seem to shift — even when they understand things logically or have already tried talking therapy or counselling.
Many of the people I support are used to coping and “getting on with things,” but find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, emotional reactions or behaviours they can’t easily change.
My approach is particularly helpful when:
You feel stuck despite insight or previous therapy
You struggle with anxiety, overthinking or stress
You react in ways you don’t fully understand
Confidence feels fragile or inconsistent
Something feels “off,” but it’s hard to explain why.
I offer a calm, supportive space and work in an integrative way. This means that I use a blend of approaches, including EMDR and EFT, that help to process and shift the underlying issues that drive experience.
Rather than focusing only on talking things through, sessions support change at a deeper level — helping you feel more in control, more settled, and ready to enjoy life more.
With over 26 years of experience, I offer a warm, grounded and non-judgemental approach.
The sessions involve deep work and my clients often report being amazed at the profound insights and changes that are possible in a single session.
By following continuous professional development, I have constantly updated my skills and knowledge. I have a wealth of strategies, techniques and psychological understanding that combined with hypnosis are incredibly powerful.
If you are feeling stuck; unable to change your emotions, behaviour or life in the way that you would like to, then please do contact me and find out how I could help you.

Teaching Mindfulness to Individuals
My clinical hypnotherapy diploma (1998) was a broad and integrative training, which included dedicated teaching in EMDR as well as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
Although EMDR was still in its early years at the time, the training offered a strong foundation in working with emotional responses and past experiences. Over the years, I’ve developed my own way of working by blending these approaches in a way that feels natural, flexible, and responsive to each individual.
I have also undertaken a wide range of additional professional training over the years, alongside ongoing continued professional development in areas such as anxiety, stress, trauma, and emotional wellbeing.
With over 27 years’ experience, I support clients with issues including anxiety, overthinking, stress, low confidence, and feeling stuck in life. My work integrates clinical hypnotherapy with mindfulness and other evidence-informed approaches, allowing sessions to be tailored to each individual rather than following a fixed approach.
Alongside formal training, much of my understanding has developed through many years of working directly with clients. This ongoing experience continues to shape how I support people to create meaningful, lasting change in a way that feels manageable and relevant to their lives.
A review left by one of my clients:
“Working with Cath is magical. She has extraordinary powers of empathy and perception. She was able to identify exactly where I most needed help, and after only two sessions online I was able to witness very positive and long lasting changes! Definitely a recommendation!!!”
