Mending Your Mind Hypnotherapy

About me

Hello, I'm Amy, an award-winning Solution Focused Hypnotherapist based in St. Helens, Merseyside. I help adults and children experiencing stress, anxiety and related issues to regain a sense of calm, confidence and control, enabling them to enjoy a happier and more fulfilling life.

Stress and anxiety can affect people in many different ways. You may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, burnt out or stuck in a cycle of overthinking and negative thoughts. For some people, anxiety can also contribute to unwanted habits, behaviours, addictions, low confidence or phobias.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that focuses on where you are now and where you want to be, rather than revisiting painful memories from the past. Together, we work towards your preferred future by setting small, achievable goals and creating positive, lasting change at both a conscious and subconscious level.

Clients are often surprised by how quickly they begin to notice improvements. Many people experience significant, long-lasting benefits after only a relatively short number of sessions.

I work from my private therapy room in St. Helens and also offer online sessions via Zoom. Online hypnotherapy has been shown to be just as effective as face-to-face sessions, allowing you to relax and take part from the comfort of your own home.

In 2026, I was honoured to receive the "Best Hypnotherapy Service Provider 2026" award from the GHP Holistic Health Awards.

Before qualifying as a hypnotherapist, I gained a BA (Hons) degree in Primary School Teaching and spent many years working in education. This experience has given me a valuable understanding of the challenges children and young people may face. I also have extensive experience supporting both children and adults with neurodiversity and adapt my sessions to meet individual needs.

If you have tried other forms of therapy without achieving the results you hoped for, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy may offer a different approach. Sessions are positive, practical and forward-looking, helping you to build resilience and create meaningful change without the need to relive difficult experiences.

Many clients ask about the trance element of hypnotherapy. Trance is simply a deeply relaxed state, similar to becoming absorbed in a book or daydreaming. You remain fully aware and in control throughout the session, and I will explain everything during your initial consultation.

I offer a free, no-obligation discovery call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and find out how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy could help you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards a calmer, happier future.
