About me

Hello, my name is Amanda and I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist specialising in attachment issues, anxiety and family & relationship problems. I support people who want to change the impact their family history and childhood is having on their lives and their relationships.

Change can happen, and often quicker than you may think.

Reduce anxiety and depression. Increase self-esteem and self-compassion. Improve your relationships.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy uses therapeutic hypnosis to target the unconscious mind as well as a variety of modalities including Parts Therapy, Eye Movement Integration Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to give you the most powerful tools to achieve your solution.

Online (£85) or face-to-face in Bexleyheath and Dartford (£100). Home visits are also available.

Here's what a recent client said about our work together: 'Amanda is a compassionate & wise therapist who tailored the process to help me....I'm very happy with the positive changes I've experienced in our 6 months of working together. My mind is clearer & more peaceful now, I'm not constantly overthinking & I feel better overall.'

Childhood Trauma/Attachment Issues

Many people experience what is known as 'small t' trauma - the impact of having difficult family relationships and/or childhood challenges that leave an emotional bruise. Examples can include parental divorce, childhood illness or bullying.

Small 't' trauma can and does leave an imprint but therapeutic hypnosis can teach you how to let go, change your beliefs and improve your relationship with yourself and others. It really does work.

Anxiety

We will work together, focusing on how to make real and lasting changes in your life. Reduce & manage anxiety, feel calmer and much more in control. Develop stronger self-esteem and more self-compassion so you can enjoy healthier relationships. Have a bespoke hypnosis recording that you can listen to whenever you need.

Sounds good? Please get in touch for a (free) chat.

Further information

Contact me for a free telephone chat to see how you can benefit from both Cognitive Hypnotherapy and coaching. There will never be any hard sell or pressure to commit.

How does it work?

Sessions will be all about you and your way forward (an hour dedicated to you in which you will be truly listened to).

After an initial session of getting to know you and devising a personalised treatment and solution programme, most sessions will simply feel like a conversation.

We will each make a commitment to work together in order to get you to the place you want to be. For some people, this may only take around 4-6 sessions, for others, it will be longer. We’re aiming for permanent change so it’s different for everyone.

You will have a bespoke hypnosis audio that you can listen to at any time as well as techniques that you can take away with you. Email support will be provided in between sessions.

How long is a session?

The first session will take around 90 minutes.

Subsequent sessions will be around 60-90 minutes.

When & Where?

I hold sessions online using Zoom.

Evenings and weekends.

Who I Can’t Work With

I’m sorry, but my professional guidelines and ethics means that there are some people I am unable to work with:

Those with epilepsy

Those with a psychosis diagnosis (bi-polar disorder, personality disorders & schizophrenia)

Those already receiving counselling or therapy

Pregnant women seeking therapy for emotional issues

Testimonials

‘I worked with Amanda for a couple of months and I would highly recommend her. She is professional, kind and very skilful at what she does. Her sessions had a high impact on me, I managed to process deep feelings that I had held onto for so long, gained huge realisations about current beliefs and this brought me freedom and a greater sense of self. It enabled me to identify what wasn’t working and introduced me to a whole new world to new habits, actions and a greater sense of my well-being.’ (Lisa, Teacher, 30s)

When I contacted Amanda i was finding life tough as I was suffering from anxiety. She was extremely patient and kind and I felt she quickly understood my situation completely. I was supported by Amanda by a bespoke approach with personally tailored audio to take away as well as a series of tools and ideas to use. I felt safe in Amanda's hands - highly recommended! (Michael, musician, 50s)

‘The hypnosis helped me control my sweet tooth. I don’t think about chocolate and I don’t crave anything sweet after I’ve eaten a meal. I feel as if it has really helped me to overcome my bad eating habits.’ (Linda, retired, 60s)

‘Amanda has got rid of the pain in my back…it’s been troubling me for a long time.’ Carol, 90s
