About me

Hello and thanks for checking me out!

I've been a hypnotist since 2011. I had a previous career before that in cinema management where I learned the importance of good communication. While training as a hypnotherapist I worked coaching people who had been unemployed for a long time and then on to Victim Support working with victims of crime. This certainly set me up to be able to deal confidently with even the worst traumas.

I have trained with a wide variety of people with awide variety of outlooks whih I feel gives me a certain adaptability to find the best approach for you. I am fascinated by the mind and the sope there is within it for problem creation and therefore problom solution. I know a great many things about how the mind works but I have not come across how you use yours yetso I approah therapy as a problem solving exercise and I will work with you to achieve this, not on you.

I call myself a hypnotist beause I do like to use hypnotic part tricks which you will not get with all hypnotherapists. I have a process that I like to work my way through with you gently in order to demonstrate to you how you create your reality. I will explain everything to you as you go.

As a hypnotist I can use suggestion to give you new ways of thinking and feeling, or I can use a mixture of hypnotic suggestion, thought experiments, metaphors, analogies and stories to guide you to insights about the nature of thought and feeling that will free you from your own unhelpful thought patterns. The benefits of this can reach far beyond the original issue.

All us therapists are different in personality and style, so I encourage you to look around and have a chat with some before making your decision. I am a pretty amiable chap, but I may or may not be your cup tea so if you would like a free consultation to sound me out over phone, text or e-mail, please get in touch. There's no obligation to go ahead and book a session.

Come and sound me out :o)

All the best in the meantime,

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Sessions last up to an hour and 45 mins and I charge £90 per session for the first two.

If things take longer than two sessions then I drop my session price to £60.

It is hard to say how many sessions you will need. Allow for four sessions and I will do my best to give you what you need in less.

I can take payments by card, cash or cheque. Card payments are slightly higher at £92 or £61

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
