About me

Hello and thanks for checking me out!

I've been a hypnotist since 2011 and have just received the South Of England Prestige Business Award for Hypnotherapist Of The Year. I had a previous career before that in cinema management where I learned the importance of good communication. While training as a hypnotherapist I worked coaching people who had been unemployed for a long time and then on to Victim Support working with victims of crime. This certainly set me up to be able to deal confidently with even the worst traumas.

I am not your bog standard hypnotherapist as I don't only use hypnosis to change your mind, but also to show you your mind in a way that gives you more choices in life, changes your experience of reality in empowering ways, and gives you a greater sense of mastery over your own mind.

My work is based around three core principles:

You are never responding to actual events themselves – you are only ever responding to your internal representation of those events.
All your thinking is self-hypnosis.

The key to feeling comfortable in your mind is not about positive thinking over negative thinking. The key to feeling comfortable in your mind is about knowing that it is all just thinking.

In session I use hypnosis and thought experiments to not only teach these principles but help you experience the truth of them.

All us therapists are different in personality and style, so I encourage you to look around and have a chat with some before making your decision. I am a pretty amiable chap, but I may or may not be your cup tea so if you would like a free consultation to sound me out over phone, text or e-mail, please get in touch. There's no obligation to go ahead and book a session.

Come and sound me out :o)

All the best in the meantime,

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I work from a home office - I am on the ground floor - there are a couple of small steps and a tight hallway.
