Adrian Jackson - Specialist in Anxiety & Depression (DipCHyp, CNHC (Acc), HPD)
Hi, I'm Adrian, a fully qualified and insured Cognitive Hypnotherapist working in Northwood, which is easily commutable from Pinner, Harrow, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Watford, and the surrounding areas.
Having overcome my own struggles with childhood trauma, I fully understand how negative experiences can create the conditions by which we live our lives. Negative patterns of behavior can limit us in becoming who we would like to be and living the life we want.
What Happens In a Hypnotherapy Session?
Once we gain clarity over our thinking, we begin to notice the opportunities that life has waiting for us. This makes life an adventure to be embraced, rather than a struggle to be endured.
Because of this, I offer rapid, long-lasting, evidence-based change by engaging the creativity and resources of your unconscious mind.
You may be surprised at how immediate and permanent your change can now be, simply by taking the first step towards your fulfillment.
How Can Hypnotherapy Help Me?
I specialise in confidence coaching and have much experience with the following:
- Weight Loss.
- Alcohol/ Drug addictions.
- Depression/ Anxiety.

Training, qualifications & experience
I trained with The Quest Institute at Regent's University, where I was awarded the Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and the Master Practioner certificate.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is the only approach with an ongoing scientific review into its effectiveness in treating depression and anxiety.
Using the same outcome measures as the NHS, Cognitive Hypnotherapy has been shown to be 71% more effective in the treatment of anxiety and depression compared with other talk therapies such as CBT (42%) used within the NHS.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
confidence, depression, anxiety
Each session lasts between 60 - 90 minutes, and I charge £90 per session.
As each client is unique it is impossible to say how many sessions will be needed, but I typically see clients for 2 - 6 sessions.
My Commitment To You
My belief is that everybody is an individual and that everybody experiences their problem in a way that is unique to them. This means that I offer a flexible and modern approach to therapy that is tailored to each client’s individual needs.

- Speaking to a therapist about my anxiety was a daunting task for me. I didn’t know where to begin or what questions I would be asked, or even if therapy was right for me. My fears were no doubt a symptom of my anxiety! Adrian in just a few sessions was able to help me better understand the root causes of my anxiety, and to help me regain control over my life! I highly recommend Adrian! A.R (Female, 25, Supervisor)
- I have recently developed a fear of flying and so I contacted Adrian for help. He was very professional and contacted me within 24 hours of my inquiry. We had a brief discussion on the phone before meeting in person and Adrian made me feel at ease. I was flying out within a week of contacting Adrian and he managed to fit me in the day before my flight. When we met we discussed a couple of different techniques and I found both very helpful. I only had a short session but I felt much better and we actually got to the root of the issue which I believed to be something else. I would highly recommend Adrian to those who wish to overcome fear. L.C (Female)
- Adrian helped me pinpoint specific things in my life which I wasn't even aware I was holding onto. As a result of our session and his personable, skilled approach, I managed to resolve the issue within and release it from my worries. From our initial phone consultation to our session at his therapy practice Adrian was very professional, understanding and above all - very effective and impactful with his methods. I'm very grateful to him investing his time with me and to dedicating himself to his profession and craft, as he is a credit to it. S.L (Male, 30, Coach, Trainer)
