About me

There may be many reasons you've found your way here, or it could be one.

Perhaps you're here because you want to make a change, or because you're struggling with stress, anxiety or depression.  It could be that you're going through a period of change or loss, navigating complicated feelings, or dealing with relationship issues.  Maybe you're having trouble sleeping, want to work on overcoming a phobia, or have a habit you'd like to break.

I'm Thea, a trauma-informed Clinical Hypnotherapist and Integrative Therapist, and I'm here to walk alongside you, holding a space for you to be truly listened to, supported and empowered. I offer a compassionate, empathetic, non-judgemental and client-centred approach, believing you hold the skills to overcome the challenges you face.  I truly believe that everyone deserves to be heard and have their experiences validated, and I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable and at ease. We'll go at your pace, and you won't need to talk about things you're not ready to discuss.

By training in an integrative approach to clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, I'm able to draw on a wide range of techniques and theories tailored especially to you, such as Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Reconsolidation (EMR), Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), Havening Techniques and Person-Centred Psychotherapy. This means I'm able to offer both short-term and longer-term, evidence-based, solution-focused therapy, depending on what you feel you need.

It can be really daunting reaching out for help and taking those first steps to find a therapist. Getting in touch is a courageous start, and choosing the right practitioner is an important part of your journey. To help you decide whether I might be a good fit for you, I offer a free 20-minute discovery call with no obligation, so you can explore this further.

A little about me ...

Before training as a therapist and clinical hypnotherapist, I spent over two decades in the entertainment industry, representing a roster of creative professionals.  That experience gave me insight into the pressures, expectations, and unique challenges that come with high-demand roles and an appreciation for the importance of wellbeing and balance.

I’m fully qualified and registered as a clinical hypnotherapist with CNHC, NCH, and NSTT and the UKCP as a trainee Psychotherapist.  I practice in line with their Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice, specialising in anxiety-related issues.  I’m also a fully certified Havening Techniques® practitioner and regular supervision is an integral part of my practice to ensure the highest standards of care.

I’m fascinated by the connection between mind and body and how our thoughts, emotions, and experiences can show up in physical symptoms, habits, or patterns in daily life.  Learning to notice and work with this connection can help you feel calmer, more confident and more in tune with your needs.  It’s a journey I feel privileged to support in a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental way.

I offer both face-to-face sessions in Putney and Battersea and online sessions across the UK.  Flexible times are available, including early mornings and evenings.

Additional information

My practice rooms are in Putney (a 2 minute walk from Putney East tube) and Northcote Road (4 minute walk from Clapham Junction overground) for those who prefer to meet face-to-face.  I also offer online sessions for those who feel more comfortable working remotely.

Appointments can be arranged throughout the week, including early and late sessions.

I offer all prospective clients a free 20 minute discovery call so I can share the way in which I work, my session rates and how I can possibly help.

I offer a number of low-rate sessions as I feel passionately that therapy should be accessible to everyone regardless of their financial background.  If this is a concern for you please do mention it when you call and I’ll do my best to make therapy an option for you.
