About me
Hello,
I Specialise in Helping Adults and Young People Manage Anxiety, IBS, Sleep Issues and More—So Life Feels Balanced and In Control.
Specialist in: Anxiety, Stress, IBS, and Sleep and insomnia, Menopause, Children and Young People.
Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, with your mind racing and your body on high alert? Perhaps your stress is showing up as physical symptoms like IBS, digestive discomfort, panic or poor sleep. Or maybe you're feeling stuck, as if your emotional wellbeing is slipping away despite your best efforts. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety and the physical toll it takes on their bodies.
With over 30 years of experience in therapeutic practice and 27 years working with young people, I specialise in helping individuals manage anxiety, reduce IBS symptoms, improve sleep and more. I use Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) and integrative psychotherapeutic techniques. My approach is designed to address both the emotional and physical symptoms that often go hand-in-hand, helping you regain control and feel more balanced.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist with an NCFE/BPS-accredited Level 5 Diploma from the UK College of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy.
I completed advanced training in Integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, delivered by Daniel Mirea, a triple-accredited CBT consultant and senior lecturer. The training was mapped to Level 5 university standards and grounded in evidence-based approaches drawn from leading therapeutic models.
I also took part in online workshops designed and delivered by Dr Donald Meichenbaum - one of the original founders of CBT and one of the most influential psychotherapists of the 20th century.
Building on my extensive experience with young people, I completed a Diploma in CBH for Children and Young People.

"Working with Steph has given me the willingness to do things and means I can live carefree, enjoying outings with friends and spontaneous travel without worrying about IBS.
Before, daily tasks were massive and I suffered with stress which meant I avoided doing things and spent the whole time worrying - this was exhausting.
I tried my GP and meds but neither worked for me so my friend suggested I try therapy.
After a few sessions with Steph I was seeing improvements and was able to enjoy my graduation day by celebrating my achievements not stressing about my IBS.
Steph’s approach has given me a different life. IBS used to be my first and last thought of the day and I could have 3 episodes a week even with medication. I had to micro-plan every journey which took up so much brain power. Life is very different now. I feel able and willing to do everything. I had 1 episode last month. I’m so grateful for Steph’s help because these sessions helped so much. Thank You Steph" - Louise
