Cognitive Hypnotherapy in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
My name is Sarah Ariss and I work, for the majority of the time, with clients experiencing Anxiety in their lives - either over a specific issue or generally. For me, client care and excellent service is of the utmost importance.
My practice is based in Welwyn Garden City, in lovely private rooms, with free parking and a warm, welcoming atomosphere.
I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I am also a member of the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council, as well as the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy Professional Association. Being a member of these associations means that I have attained a high level of training and work to strict guidelines.
I love working as a therapist and my aim is to give you the best care possible. The work we do together is about you, the client, and I will do the best I can to help you feel comfortable and safe in our sessions.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a gentle talking therapy that is evidence based and works in a client focused way to move you from where you are now to the place and person you want to be. I use hypnotherapy alongside aspects of CBT, Positive Psychology, Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP and Gestalt. I don't use labels, but consider each client as an individual.
For me, you are the important person in the therapy partnership. We work at your pace and with your needs in mind. The sessions are relaxed and non-judgmental so that you can achieve change that lasts.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Each person who comes to see me is an individual with differing causes and reasons for their problem. I cannot say how many sessions you will need. Some clients see me once, others from 3 to 5 times. Some come for longer. The therapy is flexible and based on what you need.
I tend to see people fortnightly and then monthly. We work at your pace and with your needs in mind.
What Can Hypnotherapy help?
Just because something has been in your life for a long time, does not mean it has to be there forever. Sometimes we need help to enable us to break free of a negative loop of behaviour.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy can help many problems - among them Anxiety, Fears and Limiting Beliefs, Unwanted Habits... Sometimes we can't put a name to how we feel. We just know that we need help. This form of therapy can help track down those negative thoughts and feelings and take away the emotion, the pain, leaving a calmness that enables you to work towards living the life you really want to live.
I love helping people to start on that road. We start together, but after a while you won't need me because you will have found your strength again.
Each client who comes to see me is important. I provide a service that is caring and non-judgemental. Unlike some other hypnotherapists I do not use set scripts, but use something called Wordweaving. This means that I write and record a tailor made MP3 for each person - consolidating the work we do together in my Practice Rooms. I will send you a bespoke recording several times during the course of treatment, depending on your needs, always working to help you on that journey, moving little by little to the person you would like to be.
Complimentary Telephone Consultation.
I know that it takes courage to make an appointment and courage to talk to a stranger about something that is personal and upsetting to you. Over time I have found that being able to have a chat over the phone really helps my clients to make the decision as to whether I am the right therapist for them.
You are very welcome to contact me and arrange to chat about the sort of service I provide. We can talk about how I work and you are welcome to ask any questions.I know that Hypnotherapy is a bit of an unknown for lots of people!
