About me

Hi, I’m Samantha Nixon, a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Mental Health Coach and psychotherapeutic counsellor based in Warrington, working with adults and teenagers who are stuck in anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm.

If your mind doesn’t switch off…
If you feel anxious “for no reason”…
If you keep going over the same thoughts on loop…

You’re not broken, but something is stuck. And that’s what we work on.

My approach
I don’t do fluffy therapy or endless talking about the same problem week after week.

My work is practical, focused, and designed to create real change.

I combine:

Clinical hypnotherapy
Coaching strategies
Targeted techniques to reduce emotional intensity and overthinking
So we’re not just coping…..we’re actually shifting what’s driving it.

What I help with
Most of my clients come to me because they feel:

Constantly anxious or on edge
Stuck in overthinking loops
Low in confidence or second-guessing everything
Emotionally overwhelmed and exhausted
Some know exactly what’s caused it.
Others just know something feels “off”.

Both are completely fine, we figure it out together.

What sessions are like
Straight-talking. Relaxed. No judgement.

You won’t be analysed to death or made to relive everything in detail.

Instead, we:

Get clear on what’s actually going on
Work at the level your mind responds to
Start creating change early on
Some clients need a short burst of sessions.
Others want ongoing support.

Either way, the goal is simple: Help you feel back in control of your own mind again

I also specialise in supporting teenagers, because let’s be honest, growing up right now is intense.

Pressure, social media, friendships, expectations… it builds up.

I create a space where they can:

switch off the noise
feel understood
and learn how to manage what’s going on in their head

If you’re ready to stop just managing how you feel and actually change it, get in touch to book a free initial call.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist and Mental Health Coach, with Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice.

My training and ongoing development allow me to work safely and effectively with anxiety, overthinking, emotional regulation, and behavioural patterns.

I am affiliated with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), hold an Enhanced DBS, and have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

Alongside my core training, I am also qualified in Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), a targeted approach designed to reduce the emotional intensity linked to memories, triggers, and repeated thought patterns.

Experience
I work with both adults and teenagers, supporting clients with:

Anxiety and constant overthinking
Panic and physical stress responses
Low confidence and self-doubt
Emotional overwhelm and rumination
Habit patterns and self-sabotage
My approach focuses on helping clients understand what’s driving their experience and then working at the level where real change can happen, not just surface-level coping.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

In addition to anxiety and overthinking, I also support clients with:

Panic attacks and physical anxiety symptoms
Sleep difficulties and an overactive mind at night
Stress and burnout
Low confidence and self-esteem
Intrusive thoughts and rumination
Emotional overwhelm and mood swings
Phobias (including driving anxiety and situational fears)
Habit change (e.g. smoking, nail biting, unhealthy patterns)
ADHD-related challenges such as emotional regulation and overthinking

Additional information

Most clients begin with a focused 4-session package. This gives us enough time to understand what has been going on, work with the patterns underneath it, and start creating real change.

Adults
4-session package: £260
Includes 4 x 60-minute sessions.

Single / follow-up session: £70
Suitable for standalone support, review sessions, or follow-up appointments after a package.

Children and teenagers
4-session child and teen package: £220
Includes 4 x 45–50 minute sessions.

For anyone under 18, I offer an in-person initial consultation with the young person and their parent/carer before sessions begin. This gives the young person chance to meet me, ask questions, get a feel for the room, and make sure they feel comfortable before starting.

Single / follow-up child or teen session: £60
Suitable for review sessions or additional support after a package.

Initial consultation
I offer an initial consultation so we can talk through what has been going on, what support may be suitable, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

For adults, this can usually be by phone or Zoom.

For children and teenagers, this is usually in person with the young person and parent/carer.

Further information

Sessions take place at the Reimagine building on Marsh Street in Warrington (WA1 3QA) – a quiet, calm space ideal for one-to-one support. There’s on-street parking available and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

I also offer home visits within the Warrington area for families who feel their child or teen may be more comfortable in their own environment. This can be especially helpful for those with anxiety, sensory needs, or difficulties leaving the house. Please get in touch to discuss availability and suitability.

Both in-person and online sessions are available, depending on what feels right for you or your child. Sessions last around 50 minutes and are tailored to individual needs – whether that’s anxiety support, emotional regulation, confidence-building, or simply having space to talk things through with someone neutral.

I work in a gentle, down-to-earth way, offering support that’s always led by you. I specialise in helping teens and young adults feel calmer and more confident, but I also support adults with all sorts of life stuff. Not sure if it’s the right fit? I’m always happy to have a friendly chat first.
