Hi, my name is Rowenna and I am a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapy Master Practitioner, Master NLP Practitioner and Mindfulness Coach based in East London. My mission is to support people like you out of a period of struggle, and through a journey of self development and mastery.

Whatever your problem, I'd like to reassure you that change is absolutely possible, I know this because I myself am living proof. Like you, I once reached a period in life where I felt I just couldn't go on the way things were. Gripped by frequent panic attacks and crippling anxiety, I felt there was no way out and that I would never be free of this awful feeling inside. That was 10 years ago, and I'm happy to say that I was so wrong. The decision I made to reach out for support with NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy was the beginning of a journey into lasting freedom and being able to support others, just like you, to do the same.
How I work Differently
Working with me is different to other therapists in my field. As my client you will feel supported through every step of your treatment and the work we do doesn't just take place in the room. My sessions last longer than most other hypnotherapist's (my sessions are between 1.5-2 hours), as I like to take time to really focus on your needs and to allow for techniques to work on a deep level. You may have heard of or had an experience of hypnotherapy in the past which has left you wondering if you can be "put under hypnosis", or found that issues that you, or someone you know, have had hypnosis for before have come back. The way I work does not rely on this ability to talk you down into a trance like other forms of hypnosis, as we will be using a creative process together while I guide you to use your mind in a way to access the trance-like states that you were in when you formed your problem or negative belief, from where we can un-hypnotise you from the effects this had on you and release you from their grip. I use a combination of powerful therapeutic techniques and modalities in an intuitive and creative way which allows you to explore and release old emotions or trauma, and create profound and lasting shifts on a mental, physical and emotional level.

What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a combined, solution focused approach to therapy which integrates the most effective elements of a range of approaches including NLP, Gestalt, Evolutionary Psychology, CBT and Positive Psychology, along with modern and traditional Hypnotherapy and forward thinking techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EMI (Eye Movement Integration, based on EMDR). This gives us a powerful framework with which to personalise your treatment in the best way for you, so that we can work together to help you create a more positive model of the world and your place in it, transforming limiting beliefs, behaviours, memories and experiences. It is different from traditional hypnotherapy in that it is a two way process where you’ll be fully engaged, using your memories and imagination, with guidance and support, to help you reframe and transform negative beliefs about yourself, others and the world. You will be guided into a light trance state (similar to daydreaming or times when you are lost in thought), where we then work on getting the subconscious to access memories and experiences related to your problem, and use techniques to change the way your mind and body reacts to these. This causes the subconscious to create new response and react differently to the problem or type of situation, creating new neural pathways in the brain and literally rewiring the way your brain works.
I work in an intuitive and adaptive way which allows me to adopt a style to suit your specific needs and use techniques in a creative and transformative way. I provide a high level of support to my clients with between session guidance, free resources and books targeted to your personal development, free self-hypnosis downloads and personal hypnosis recordings to keep you moving towards your desired outcomes. I am also a qualified Mindfulness Meditation teacher, and I often combine this understanding into my therapeutic work to help my clients deepen connection to themselves and others, bring a more balanced approach to stressful situations and find more presence, peace and contentment in life.
I get to know my clients well and create a bespoke treatment plan which is personal and targeted towards to their growth. This includes personal hypnosis audios which are designed to help you move towards your desired state quickly and effortlessly, specifically selected and designed tasks between sessions, free resources and books to help you learn more about whatever you're facing and how to move forward towards your goals.

I came to my training in Cognitive Hypnotherapy after having worked in education for 10 years. I decided to leave the teaching profession when I realised that the stress and anxiety experienced by students and staff was getting worse and worse each year, and that the help and support that I could provide as a teacher was becoming more and more limited due to high workloads and my own stress levels rising. Having struggled with my own anxiety and depression I discovered NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy which helped me transform my life in a way that other treatments had not helped in the past. I realised that this was my true calling and I began my transition to becoming a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Coach.
I now help people to overcome the life limiting impact of anxiety, depression, addictions and negative self beliefs that are holding them back, incorporating my experience and training as a mindfulness teacher to help people create more balanced lives. I have worked with many people of all ages, helping them to overcome anxiety related problems and afflictions such as eating disorders, obsessive thinking, work related stress, self confidence issues, phobias and fears (such as public speaking, flying etc), and free themselves from habits and addictions.
