Stress Management and Wellbeing Online Support:
My name is Rowenna and I am a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapy Master Practitioner, Master NLP Practitioner and Mindfulness Coach based in East and North East London. I believe that every one of us has the capacity to live a life full of potential and emotional freedom, and my mission is to support people through periods of struggle and onto a journey of self development and mastery. I work with people to overcome all kinds of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, panic disorders, eating disorders and weight-loss issues, addictions, low self-esteem, phobias and whatever else may be holding you back. I love helping my clients find the solution to their problems and the freedom that they sometimes thought was impossible, because I too know how this feels.
Like many, I once reached a period in life where I felt I just couldn't go on with the way things were. Gripped by frequent panic attacks and crippling anxiety, I felt there was no way out and that I would never be free of this awful feeling inside. That was 10 years ago, and I'm happy to say that I was so wrong. The decision I made to reach out for support with NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy was the beginning of a journey into lasting freedom and making a commitment to support others to do the same.

What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a combined, solution focused approach to therapy which integrates the most effective elements of a range of approaches including NLP, Gestalt, Evolutionary Psychology, CBT and Positive Psychology, along with modern and traditional Hypnotherapy and forward thinking techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EMI (Eye Movement Integration, based on EMDR). This gives us a powerful framework with which to personalise your treatment in the best way for you, so that we can work together to help you create a more positive model of the world and your place in it, transforming limiting beliefs, behaviours, memories and experiences. It is different from traditional hypnotherapy in that it is a two way process where you’ll be fully engaged, using your memories and imagination, with guidance and support, to help you reframe and transform negative beliefs about yourself, others and the world. You will be guided into a light trance state (similar to daydreaming or times when you are lost in thought), where we then work on getting the subconscious to access memories and experiences related to your problem, and use techniques to change the way your mind and body reacts to these. This causes the subconscious to create new response and react differently to the problem or type of situation, creating new neural pathways in the brain and literally rewiring the way your brain works.
What can Cognitive Hypnotherapy Help With?
Because of the combined therapeutic skills involved in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, many people experiencing all kinds of problems can benefit from this type of therapy. Using this framework, my further training and flexible approach, I have been able to help many people overcome a wide range of issues including:
- Anxiety and panic disorders
- Social phobia
- Lack of confidence/self esteem issues
- Fear of flying
- Eating disorders
- Confidence issues
- Sexual disfunction
- Anger issues

- Quitting smoking
Whatever it is, if you're ready to let go of your problem and to start living a life to the fullest then I can help. Please get in touch to arrange a free telephone consultation to see how we can work together.
How I work Differently
Working with me is different to other therapists in my field. As my client you will feel supported through every step of your treatment and the work we do doesn't just take place in the room. My sessions last longer than most other hypnotherapist's (my sessions are between 1.5-2 hours), as I like to take time to really focus on your journey and to allow for the techniques used to work on a deep level. You may have heard of or had an experience of hypnotherapy in the past which has left you wondering if you can be "put under hypnosis", or found that issues that you, or someone you know, have had hypnosis for before have come back. The way I work does not rely on this ability to talk you down into a trance like other forms of hypnosis, as we will be using a creative process together while I guide you to use your mind in a way to access the trance-like states that you were in when you formed your problem or negative belief. From there, we use these states to un-hypnotise you from the effects these situations had on you and enable your subconscious to form new and more helpful beliefs and let go of the problem completely.
By working with me you are making an investment in yourself and a commitment to a process of recovery that will create lasting change in your life forever if you allow it.
I work in an intuitive and adaptive way which allows me to adopt a style to suit your specific needs and use techniques in a creative and transformative way. I provide a high level of support to my clients with between session guidance, free resources and books targeted to your personal development, free self-hypnosis downloads and personal hypnosis recordings to keep you moving towards your desired outcomes. I am also a qualified Mindfulness Meditation teacher, and I often combine this understanding into my therapeutic work to help my clients deepen connection to themselves and others, bring a more balanced approach to stressful situations and find more presence, peace and contentment in life.
I get to know my clients well and create a bespoke treatment plan which is personal and targeted towards to their growth. This includes personal hypnosis audios which are designed to help you move towards your desired state quickly and effortlessly, specifically selected and designed tasks between sessions, free resources and books to help you learn more about whatever you're facing and how to move forward towards your goals.
Free, No Obligation Consultation
I offer a free consultation over the phone so that we can get a feel of how we will work together and answer any questions you might have. If you decide to go ahead, we'll arrange an initial discovery session, where we'll delve deeper into your problem and how we can solve it.
If you decide not to go further than this first session, I will not charge you and you will get your money back.
I came to my training in Cognitive Hypnotherapy after having worked in education for 10 years. I decided to leave the teaching profession when I realised that the stress and anxiety experienced by students and staff was getting worse and worse each year, and that the help and support that I could provide as a teacher was becoming more and more limited due to high workloads and my own stress levels rising. Having struggled with my own anxiety and depression I discovered NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy which helped me transform my life in a way that other treatments had not helped in the past. I realised that this was my true calling and I began my transition to becoming a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Coach.
I now help people to overcome the life limiting impact of anxiety, depression, addictions and negative self beliefs that are holding them back, incorporating my experience and training as a mindfulness teacher to help people create more balanced lives. I have worked with many people of all ages, helping them to overcome anxiety related problems and afflictions such as eating disorders, obsessive thinking, work related stress, self confidence issues, phobias and fears (such as public speaking, flying etc), and free themselves from habits and addictions.
***** REVIEWS *****
What Some of My Clients Say (please visit my Google reviews page to see more):
"Rowenna is fantastic. She really listens and gets to know you. I've had some poor experiences on the NHS (both with talk therapy and CBT) and was ready to try something different which led me to her Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I only needed 3 sessions to get out of the rut I kept finding myself in. I highly recommend her". ~ Ashley, Social Media Consultant
"I had a course of Hypnotherapy with Rowenna recently, to support me through a period of change, and found it to be really effective. The recordings are great to continue listening to as well, as you can go back to them, to ensure it embeds in. I was pleasantly surprised at how much Rowenna had picked up from our initial discovery session which she then used in the following sessions/ recordings. I also found her really engaging from the first inquiry phone call, she explained her practice in a way that gave me the confidence that she understood my situation and could help. Will definitely continue to use her services". ~ Monique, Senior Project Manager
"I’ve been visiting Rowenna for a few months now and can honestly say that after trying other types of therapy, cognitive hypnotherapy with Rowenna has helped me enormously. I was a bit sceptical at first, partly due to my previous experiences with therapy, but I went in with an open mind and noticed a possitive change after my first session, which became more and more obvious over the next few weeks and months. I feel so much more relaxed and confident and it feels so natural to feel like this now. Rowenna is extremely good at what she does and can identify what it is that will help you after your first discussion. She’s really knowledgable in her field and has given me a good understanding of how cognitive hypnotherapy works. She also takes the time to create personalised recordings for you, which I listen to once or twice a day between sessions. Rowenna is understanding, knowledgable and very calming, and I really can’t recommend her enough". ~ Tom, Manufacturing and Sales CEO
"I have been working with Rowenna to explore and address my anxiety issues which followed a cancer diagnosis in 2018 and subsequent treatment which has just ended ( Feb 2019). I was dealing well with the physical aspects of my treatment but psychologically and emotionally it was a different matter. The opportunity to work with Rowenna came at exactly the right point and several sessions in I’m delighted to say that I’m feeling calmer and more focussed on my recovery post treatment. The therapy approach was new to me and I have found myself more engaged in the process than others I have tried. Rowenna took time initially to explain the approach, the process and my role in it and this has worked very well for me as I have remained engaged throughout. I enjoy the sessions as I feel that I’m really contributing to them but more importantly that I’m getting a great deal back. The sessions are followed up with audio recordings which are a really helpful recap of the session that I use to repeat the learning. Rowenna has a great approach, she is very calm and reassuring and I never feel that I’m being rushed". ~ Garry, Senior NHS Worker
"Rowenna helped me pinpoint the issues I wanted help with. We covered a lot of territory during the sessions and I found her great at picking up on the bits which were relevant to my problem that we could work with, even with my crazy disjointed rambling. She has a very calm non-judgemental manner which instantly puts you at ease. I now have personalised recordings to listen to and she has taught me some other tools to use in certain situations. We worked on my anxiety over public speaking, which was affecting my confidence with presentations at work. Although I haven’t actually done public speaking yet, I felt much more confident preparing the presentation. The anxiety I would have usually felt just emailing the research to my supervisor was absent and I feel calm when I think about standing talking in front of my peers. I would definitely recommend Rowenna for Cognitive Hypnotherapy". ~ Nikki, Natural Health Practitioner
"Rowenna is extremely professional in her approach and always gives really clear explanations about the methods she is about to use in each session. She is also very non judgemental about any issues that have come up during the sessions and therefore really easy to talk to. I approached Rowenna as I was suffering from anxiety in certain work situations and social situations, since attending the sessions the anxiety has decreased and I feel far more confident and able to enjoy my time at work and socially without worrying. I also had an issue with caffeine addiction and since attending the sessions my caffeine intake has decreased and I am on the way to giving it up completely". ~ Louise, Music Producer
