About me

Why work with me?! I have a proven history of working with a broad variety of clients - children, teenagers, adults and businesses to help them improve.

The range of areas I work with is below in further information.

I am based in Northumberland, but work flexibly across the UK, on line and in person. I use secure Zoom links for on-line sessions, hire therapy rooms privately or via the NHS Open Space scheme across the country and work from my home office.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained for two years and qualified in 2014/15 as Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner at the Quest Institute in Regents University London, where there is an evidence base for the results that can be achieved. 71% of clients with anxiety and depression showed an improvement with Cognitive Hypnotherapy, compared to 42% of clients undergoing different therapies such as CBT. (Mental Health Review Journal 2015, with a pilot study of 118 cases).

I work with children, young adults and schools, and  have enhanced DBS clearance. I work with the award-winning Ollie and his Superpowers team, as a trained children’s Emotional Wellbeing “Ollie Coach”.

I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and I comply with their requirements to practice, including continual professional development, working in line with their Codes of Ethics and Conduct, and practice insurance.

I work with Public and Private sector providers to improve individual wellbeing, service provision and staff support, e.g. Police forces, Local Authorities and Businesses.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
