About me

I worked at Guys hospital in the dental department for 12 years which is where I first came across Hypnotherapy. I left when I had my children and then went on to work in a preschool. I then trained at the internationally acclaimed Quest Institute with Trevor Silvester.

I am now a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner. I have suffered with anxiety myself and found Cognitive Hypnotherapy to be a very effective tool to help me view my life more positively and therefore helping me keep calm and contented.

I am a member of the QCHPA which is the home of evidence based Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy; here is the link to the evidence: https://www.qchpa.com/evidence-based-therapy/I am one of the therapists collecting data for the research.

I have set up my practice to help people resolve their problems and make the most of their lives. I can help with many issues, if your problem isn't listed please feel free to contact me. I Hold a current DBS Certificte and I am fully insured and I am also an approved Anxiety UK therapist.

I give a very personalised service with downloads sent to the client after most appointments and I keep in touch by email between appointments and usually send an email after treatment has finished to check that improvement is ongoing. I am very committed to helping my clients so I expect them to be committed to making changes themselves. Being Hypnotised is not at all frightening but is a pleasant, usually relaxing experience, you will be fully awake but more focused on what is being said while your general awareness of what is happening around you is decreased. You are in complete control throughout treatment.

"Louise is a warm, engaging professional who is highly knowledgeable as a therapist. She has a excellent understanding of hypnotherapy and NLP and she was fantastic in working with me to give me the confidence to take on a new business venture. I would highly recommend her if you are looking to make changes in your life."

J.S Reflexologist

"I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Louise's service. She worked wonders for me in only two sessions and I can't thank her enough. I am in the process of studying for a degree and she has helped with self confidence and anxiety issues... she has a wonderfully calm, comforting manner and gets to the issues that need addressing by asking all the right questions."

H.G Early years degree student

"We would like to thank you for your wonderful hypnotherapy service you provided for our 10 year old who had problems with bedwetting several times a week. Your sessions were so very gentle and put our daughter at great ease. And we are pleased to say it has resolved the problem and our daughter is now dry every single night!"

A.G Kent

"Louise has been a huge help with my anxiety and confidence issues. She is very easy to talk to, has a calm and approachable manner, and a very relaxing voice. I will be eternally grateful for her help, my only regret being that I didn't contact her earlier. I would definitely highly recommend Louise. I am still amazed at the difference she has made to my life after only three sessions."

T.H. London

"I would not have any hesitation in recommending Louise. She is a patient caring therapist. Louise helped me through my anxiety and has given me confidence to get on, do my projects and enjoy things I love doing. Like garending, craftwork and going out."

P.L. retired

'Following a cancer diagnosis and treatment which left me with severe anxiety, difficulty eating, loss of weight, swelling due to lymphoedema, the prospect of losing my job due to ill health, an inability to continue with my normal activities due to exhaustion etc., I decided to seek help. My life was spiralling out of control. I found Louise through a web search. At the time, I could feel that the conventional drug treatment was compromising my recovery with debilitating side effects but there appeared to be no other options on offer by the hospital. In addition, the cancer drugs led to severe problems with swallowing food which became an enormous source of anxiety for me. Louise worked with me to identify the main issues, try and organise and articulate them, took me through exercises to facilitate decision making about my future, my treatment, my life, my work. We also worked on the eating issue together, and issues associated with my appearance following surgery. Louise provided me with some very carefully worded MP3s which I listened to every day, often several times a day, to promote relaxation, restful sleep, normal eating, healing. I have greatly benefitted from them and still listen to them everyday. Louise's calm, caring, insightful approach to problems was a huge source of comfort for me at this difficult time.'

LP London

"I had developed agoraphobia after a nervous breakdown and my daily life was affected due to the fact I didn't want to go out. Several sessions with Louise has helped me overcome my fears and I'm now living the life I enjoyed and remembered before. Many thanks"

P.J. London

"I went to see Louise for help with my anxiety as it was getting worse and I had been trying to deal with it for 4 years on my own but knew I needed help this year. Booking my 4 sessions with Louise has been one of the best decisions I have made as she has helped me to overcome so many things especially my anxiety which rarely affects me now. I feel like a new person and I am living my life how I use to before the anxiety seriously affected my everyday life. It is absolutely amazing how hypnotherapy can help so much in such a short amount of time and I have wasted no time telling people about this. Thank you, Louise, for your excellent sessions and helpful recordings."

J.H. fitness instructor

"Can I just once again say thank you. I have been to Belgium over night and your mp3 stopped me leaving halfway through and stopped my panic attack from developing. I went to a party last night and got involved without shying away, and I am chatting to a potential boyfriend now. I don't know how you have done it but since I have seen you there has been a marked change in my lifestyle for the better."

C.B. police officer

"I went to Louise when I had problems in my marriage, I had lost all my self esteem and was afraid of my own vulnerabilities - Through hypnotherapy I learned how to accept not just myself but the situation that had occurred, Louise helped me to understand and face my own fears, I gained strength and confidence from the sessions, and as each week passed I learned to understand myself better and my confidence grew, through the sessions I learned to no longer be afraid of the future. I was so afraid of what I might say or admit to under the hypnotherapy - but I should not have worried, you understand what you are saying and you volunteer only what you feel able to.

Louise gave me small techniques to help me cope with everyday situations when I felt stressed or overwhelmed or falling back into old habits - these strategies help you between each session and when they come to an end. Pick up the phone today."

LB London

"I was lucky enough to find Louise soon after having my first episode of anxiety/stress/burnout. After speaking with her on the phone regarding the initial consultation, she was so warm and understanding, she instantly gave me hope.
It didn't take many sessions before the anxiety rapidly dropped and I felt a better version of myself. I enjoyed the mix of hypnotherapy and NLP and whilst Louise was always professional, she was so easy to talk to and more often than not, it didn't even feel like therapy. I would highly recommend Louise to anyone suffering from stress and anxiety. She has literally changed my life."
