About me
I'm Leslie, known to many as the Mind Methodologist. I've been running my private practice, Mind Methodology, since 2005, working with clients in person and online across the UK, Europe and the USA.
My background began in veterinary nursing, where I rose to Head Nurse in a small animal practice - years spent reading behaviour, staying calm under pressure, and learning that real change happens gently, not by force. That grounding still shapes how I work with people today.
I trained to master level in NLP, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Storytelling with NLP Scotland from 2005 to 2008. In 2025, I recertified in Hypnotherapy and NLP with Ali Campbell, and continue that training through to mastery level. I believe in staying a lifelong student of my own craft.
I work with people looking to shift stuck patterns around phobias, stress, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, procrastination, stopping smoking, vaping or snus - and more, always at a pace that keeps the client feeling safe and in control. I also support people managing chronic pain, using approaches that aim to help the mind and body work with each other rather than against each other.
I'm fully mobile: I see clients online, in person (as locally as possible for them).
Home visits by arrangement for those Clients who are housebound

Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
