Karen Lee Clinical Hypnotherapist- Blossom Therapy Swaffham
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak I will be conducting all appointments via FaceTime , Skype or Zoom. -Please note REDUCED prices!
Hypnosis sessions are easily conducted via video link with added security of suggestions to wake normally should the signal be interrupted. - I have practiced this with a few clients and they are entirely happy with the results.
EMDR is as effective via video link as it is face to face, instead of using eye movements we use a different approach.
I believe happiness takes time to appreciate and my life hasnt always been as happy as it is now, Having suffered Domestic Violence, emotional abuse and varying degrees of depression. I think everyone goes through some sort of trauma in their life- for me it taught better understanding of some of the issues you may be looking to get help with.
It also means I am compassionate and understanding with issues I have not experienced myself, mainly because I know how I felt when others judged me for decisions I made in the past.
I also know how difficult it can be to make the first call but you can be reassured we will find the best way forward for YOU.
I offer a free telephone consultation, I find this allows you to get to know me a little before meeting face to face, building rapport from the very first contact.
Even though all therapists have had most if not all the techniques they list as their tools practised on them, not all have experience in "Life", I have found my calling in Hypnotherapy and the other therapies I use because of problems I myself have overcome.
I am passionate about helping those struggling with depression, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. I care deeply about helping people move forward into a happier stage of their life, hope can be elusive if just getting out of bed is an every-day battle.
I also have a passion for helping those with ADHD, as it is a condition close to my heart as my son was diagnosed with it aged 4.
Hypnotherapy can help various aspects of this condition although there is no scientific evidence, we have seen a vast improvement in concentration and general behaviour. I am happy to go into more detail should you be interested in the possibilities of a session for this or any other condition, I will be happy to do the legwork and present any options you may have.
I practice Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through my membership with the General Hypnotherapy Register, writing articles, attending workshops and lectures, giving public talks and writing case studies, I also see a therapist regularly myself to keep my own mind in tip top order.
I cover a wide area and will consider travelling anywhere needed if my skills are necessary for a client's well-being. At the moment I work in Norfolk, Cambs, Herts and Beds.
I also offer online Skype sessions for consultation or general relaxation, anything more involved really requires face to face appointments.
Please take a look at my articles below including subjects such as Anxiety, Addiction, Alcohol Abuse, Depression and more recently panic attacks and ADHD.
Now taking referrals from Doctors, any client being referred from a GP will be means tested and will be offered an appointment at a rate they can afford.
I have professional indemnity insurance and am DBS Enhanced Checked.

"I thought EMDR was a Hypnotherapy technique, and was sceptical, I'm not sceptical anymore! Its weird how it works but I definitely feel a difference already" Mr C, Norfolk
"Karen has reduced my anxiety down to an absolute minimum, there is still more work to do, but Im making excellent progress. We used Gestalt therapy to learn what my dreams were trying to tell me, which I thought would never work- amazingly it did! Can't recommend EMDR enough even though in the hour and a half we were going through it I went through a whole range of emotions- the end result? Calm. Undeniably beautiful CALM." Mrs H, Herts
Weight Control course:
“Amazed at how my attitude toward diets literally changed instantly- before we had even done any Hypnosis!! I have lost 2st 9lbs without cutting ANYTHING out! Well happy. Can recommend to anyone seriously wanting to lose weight and keep it off”
Mrs T. Cambridge.
“Wish I had known about this years ago, have tried every diet known to man and kept putting weight back on. Now have lost 3 dress sizes and feel amazing, that’s the thing when you address the mind as well as the body, you realise it’s all linked”
Mrs W. Sawston
“Everything just clicked with me, I loved the dream exercises, I actually did wake up feeling a little sore as if I had been to the gym, I loved the wave of relaxation which helped me focus on my stomach, I now don’t eat as much as I used to and have steadily lost weight over the 6 months since the course, thank you Blossom it’s been a life changer!!”
Mr F. Letchworth.
'I have to say that Karen's help has been invaluable to me. Her hypnotherapy CD'S are absolutely wonderful and I listen to them everyday. No matter how hopeless or overwhelmed you feel, Karen will help you. Given the option of rating her 1 to 5 stars, I give her 10 '
"Karen puts you at ease straight away when you meet her – she gives you a lot of time to speak about what your problem is and she is a very good listener. She then explains what she can do to help with the situation and also explains how much it would cost and how long the sessions would take.
She has helped myself and another member of my family to which I believe as a family life has changed for the better as we use the examples which Karen has told us to try and it has worked. I would definitely recommend her to anyone as she has helped me beyond recognition to which I am very thankful.
She also gave me some relaxation CD’s to listen to – to assist me in my day to day challenges.
Karen has also worked with my six year old son, who loves her and asks when the next sessions are."
Mrs K. Swaffham
"Karen is lovely and so relaxed about everything- can't recommend highly enough. What she has worked on with our son has changed his whole outlook and has indeed changed all our lives. So glad we made contact with her."
Mrs J Swaffham
The compassion shown by Karen has been second to none, I found myself able to identify with her more than any other therapist or counsellor I have ever dealt with. I know that there is an approach which makes therapists give nothing of themselves, how does that help me? I am stuck in my own head all of the time, I needed someone to help pull me out of that merry-go-round, Karen did that! The only therapist ballsy enough to walk the line and not cross it but still make a difference. I hope you choose her. She will pull you through what ever you are going through. It is what you pay her for isn't it?
