About me
Gregorio Sosa | Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist Practitioner
Hello and welcome. I’m Gregorio Sosa, a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist based in Bristol, offering sessions in person and online.
I support adults who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, overthinking, low confidence, poor sleep, low mood, and feeling stuck. My work is warm, practical, and focused on helping you move forward with greater clarity, calm, and confidence.
My journey into this work has been deeply personal. In my mid-thirties, I experienced a heart attack, along with other significant life challenges that changed the way I saw health, wellbeing, and personal change. Those experiences strengthened my belief that people can move forward, rebuild, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Alongside my clinical training in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy, I bring more than 11 years of professional experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties. I have worked in person-centred and inclusive environments, supporting people with empathy, respect, and a strong commitment to wellbeing.
I am also completing my final dissertation for a BSc in Psychology at Arden University. This has strengthened my understanding of psychological wellbeing, behaviour change, and how people can develop healthier patterns of thinking, emotion, and response.
My approach combines Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy with coaching-informed tools and ideas from positive psychology, helping clients focus not only on reducing distress, but also on building resilience, confidence, direction, and emotional wellbeing.
I may be able to help with:
anxiety and excessive worry
stress and overwhelm
overthinking
confidence and self-esteem
sleep difficulties
low mood
weight-related habits and motivation
IBS
ADHD- and OCD-related challenges
trauma recovery support
high stress in adult men, including relationship and intimacy-related concerns
goal-focused personal change and performance
Sessions are tailored to you and focused on where you want to get to, rather than keeping you stuck in the problem. Whether you are looking for support with emotional well-being, habits, confidence, or a specific area of life, I aim to offer a calm, supportive, and professional space where positive change can begin.
I offer sessions in Bristol and online.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
