About me

I am a fully qualified Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, Life Coach, NLP practitioner and Breath work coach. I provide long-lasting therapy to help teens and adults cope better with anxiety, imposter syndrome, fears, trauma, pain and limiting beliefs both online and from my clinic in Felsted, on the Herts/Essex border.

I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone consultation where you can tell what is going on in your life and for us to see if hypnotherapy is the best way forward. If you decide that it is, you can then book an initial consultation (£60) where we get started on helping you.

People often suffer from limiting beliefs and a sense of not being enough. Our critical inner dialogue can lead to feelings of inadequacy in terms of physical appearance, popularity, and success. This negative loop can prevent one from feeling contentment or joy.

Clients of all ages are struggling with stress and anxiety due to the current geopolitical situation, coupled with coming out of a worldwide pandemic. Many feel overwhelmed and unable to cope effectively, which can have negative effects on relationships and health. Some individuals resort to addictive coping strategies such as alcohol or food consumption in order to manage their emotions.

Many of my clients come to see me with various forms of performance anxiety (including fear of public speaking), social anxiety, exam stress, mental blocks in their sport, and a general lack of motivation.

As no two individuals are the same, we will work collaboratively on enabling you to identify what is causing you concern, establish the desired outcome, and set individual goals to work towards that outcome. By enabling you to access your own inner resources and capabilities, you are better equipped to manage your emotional and mental state and respond to challenges feeling empowered, calm and in control.

I practice Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy which is all about finding solutions to problems without excessive dwelling on the past.  No matter what we have experienced in life, we all have a longing for something different, something better. Solution-focused hypnotherapy combines the latest neuroscience with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), BRIEF therapy, and the powerful state of hypnosis, to help clients make positive and significant changes within a relatively short period of time.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • I trained with the Clifton Practice and the teachings of the renowned David Newton, known as the gold standard of hypnotherapy training and widely recognised as a centre for excellence.
  • I have an HPD (higher practitioner diploma) in solution-focused hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
  • The Clifton practice approach is solution-focused rather than problem-focused and incorporates NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), SFBT (solution-focused BRIEF therapy) and Clinical Hypnosis.
  • I am a member of the following professional accrediting bodies; NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy) and CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and adhere to their strict guidelines and code of conduct.
  • I have a fully enhanced DBS license enabling me to work with both adults and children.
  • As part of my training, I am committed to continuous professional development and supervision.
  • Certified smoking cessation practitioner
  • Accredited Life Coach & NLP Practitioner
